bnahahhahah adqwuate.

Llama, do you look in the mirror every morning and say "I'm Good Enough, I'm Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like Me!" ????
2007-08-17 19:41:12
It more falls along the lines of

"Look at that sexy body.
Wow you're amazing.
What do I feel like doing today?
Maybe I'll check out how our National Team is losing and develop some tactics for them to win.
Maybe I'll start a new internet game to add to my collection.
Whatever it is, you rock *points at self in mirror*"

Then I walk to my computer
2007-08-17 19:55:37
I was being kind to your inflated ego. When you going to win a game that matters so you can at least feign having some SK ability? You ar just like Charlie Weis at Notre Dame, full of hot air, and cannot win any game where you are the underdog
2007-08-17 20:10:21
And once again people expect the the brand new team to win the ML this season

If you would give me a little while to get going I might be able to do something for ya.

Until then though I'll be courteous to others and explain tactics they should've used to win.

such as had I been given the NT we could be doing better than we are right now.

Kind of embarrassing with our latest 2 losses (though our last 1 was pretty much a loss with no pressure on Nederlands) but even that goes back to the Ceska game

I mean

look at our tactics...

I swear it's like what a default is

there's no variation whatsoever

we just set up in a pretty little basic formation and expect to win?

look at what ceska and nederlands did against us. obviously something they're doing is working and what we're doing isn't.

you'd think we'd try something different....guess not...i mean i doubt he's even changed the tactics based on the other team. I haven't seen any variation to put pressure on their weak spots. maybe they leave a left side open and stack their right.

does this mean we just play a basic tactic?

no

it means we stack our right defense and stack our left attack.

maybe throw a good crosser out on the wing and go for some header opportunities.

There's SO much we could at least be trying.

But instead it just ends up in a loss
2007-08-17 20:13:25
I fail to see how you can have enough experience, no matter what talent you would be given, to beat any team on the NT level. The fortuante thing is, when you run again, you will probably lose a vote from your last attempt.
2007-08-17 20:27:55
My EXPERIENCE is not what I'm talking about.

It's my knowledge.

I've spent days working out things in this game

and I don't mean I've only watched the games I've played

I've watched tons of the National team's games. Looking at both teams tactics and where we're losing out. I already wrote a whole essay (pretty much) on what needs to be changed and what i would change were i NT

well I'm not NT because you guys like people who get program errors and put into the ML more than someone who knows what they're talking about.

and look how that's working out for you.

I wonder if he ever even watches the games, making notes on a piece of paper of changes that need to be made.

I'm not even NT coach and I do that.

but about my experience

look i'm sorry I've only been here for a season (max)

but that's not something I can change.

so i figured why sit and wait for my experience to catch up to my knowledge when i can try to run to be head of a team worthy of it.

but whatever

it's our loss

actually

our losses if you've been keeping track

Experience/knowledge are semantics when you talk about tactics. Better go back to mirror.

And I am still torn on what makes you think you know more than anyone in the ML, let alone A league.

Not only do they know tactics, they know what kind of players to buy and how to train them. I suspect your knowledge is limited to your experience. Like most every normal person (or is this where you say you abnormal?)
2007-08-17 20:42:39
The normal person didn't get into this game and within the first few weeks spend countless hours watching the NT games, making notes about changes.

And it's not like I don't know anything about managing a soccer team.

I mean I've played hattrick for a couple years now

and yes I'm only #1 in DV and i'll probably be promoting to DIV this season, but that's where i got all my learning out. Where I began to understand things about the game and what worked and didn't work.

And it took me a while before I actually got into the game so it's not like I played a hard 2-3 years.

and yes hattrick isn't sokker

but it was really an easy switch

As I said, i just watched a lot of sokker games and understood what would win it here

Hattrick is mostly midfield

sokker is more tactical (which i like)

and I know what players to buy and how to train.

If you read all the guides on it (google it) you'll find helpful hints on what effects each person and etc.

I have to get ready for a soccer tournament

So I'll catchya guys laterrrrr

I guess I am corrected, you are an HT God. You have been playing HT 3 months longer than me, and yes, you truly have proven your worth, #1 in div.V.

Oh wait, you are in div.v and i am in div.iii. Where do I sign up for your school of coaching???

Oh and comparing HT to SK is like comparing tennis to cricket as far as tactics.

As I stated before:
Hattrick wasn't something I was going for until about a year ago. other than that I just sat and trained goalkeepers

Then I trained defending (which took me another year, only for the economy to drop and them to sell for nothing)

and now I'm finally getting some ground under my feet

I don't make any claims to being a HT god and that's why I figured I'd start in sokker where I would try from the beginning.

And you can just message me here to sign up for my coaching school

and yes I know HT and SK have very different tactics

I wasn't saying I knew all the SK tactics from HT

I'm saying I could pick up on them a lot easier because I have had experience with online manager games.

There's a lot more to pick up on in SK which makes it a lot better

cause you can actually watch the games and say "hmmm whenever I get a throw in on my opponents side of the field, we give it away. Maybe if I push someone close to the wing when the ball's there, i'll be able to change that.
2007-08-17 22:02:11
The normal person didn't get into this game and within the first few weeks spend countless hours watching the NT games, making notes about changes.

you really need to go out and get a life dude. seriously.
2007-08-17 23:29:15
I don't know about you all, but when I play a team that has players total stars within just 4 or 5 stars of my team... I don't consider the result "randomness". I call that playing an equal team and not getting the result I wanted.
2007-08-17 23:34:08
islander's not saying that, he's saying that 20-25 shots against a pretty crappy goalie should result in a few goals.
2007-08-17 23:41:37
Mr Llama:

You may have spent days watching games but you lack many basic skills and I will not attempt to help you with your flaws.

This team was "OUR" team and I made it clear on this forum that I'm very open to suggestions. Many users chose to give their 2 cents and got involved with the team. Many cheered the team when we won our first game. Fellow NT candidate Vondocha offered to help.

You only appear when we got eliminated, with all the answers of course. I can't wait until the next election to go on your campaign thread and show you how much you really know.

Until then!

I WISH TO STATE FOR THE RECORD THAT I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO SUCCEED IN THIS GAME. NONE.
