Subject: USA Cup

2 upsets today, with sweden and ML-ranked pirates (based on before the new season) falling to pwn and surprising Red Dragons.

Anxiously awaiting to see who I face next week, I think it's between pwn and Red Dragons.

i wouldnt call sweden an upset =P

Interesting finale, ML teams have some tough choices to make.

I don't see how Sweden survived so far with his defenders placed so offensively. IMO his team would be much better if they were moved back a bit. Sure it gets him a lot of offsides, but also a TON of fast breaks.

He defeated you last season and me and Cats this season. He was the only team to defeat you last season so maybe it's not just luck.

BTW: I'd like another shot at his offside traps.

i don't have a choice, i play trogdor twice. my a-team is gonna play in the cup.

I didn't say it was luck. I just think that it hurts his team.

I had honestly forgotten he beat me last season. I have a terrible memory. My strikers are a bit quicker this season, maybe that was the difference as they were able to run past his defenders easier.

He will get another shot at me in a couple of weeks. I'll likely have to adjust my strikers a bit to avoid some of those annoying offsides calls.

I have more then enuf speed on my strikers and wingers to exploit that (i can't imagine his defenders are over brilliant). My problem is that i don't have the tech to run with the ball fast enuf or consistenlty dribble through a tackle from behind.

French? Nah, rather have one of my backup defenders play striker :)

French can be a useful nationality in a striker. They don't shower or use deodorant, so their natural odor may cause defenders to shy away, leaving them with more room to maneuver.

Edit: Unless his defenders are faster and better than FC Sweden, who definitely uses an offsides trap and who i beat earlier in the season...

Watch Red Dragon's matches. His players are extremely fast. That's why he wins so much with the low ratings. They can basically defend and run.
