I like it how the second most valuable player is a GK for a C-league team...

LOL, a goalie in C league thats NT caliber and he cant get out of C league. Goes to show you goalies aren't too important.

solid' strikers. I'd think he'd almost never give up a goal.

This is a problem I've noticed you having before. I don't believe the match engine compares the striker's skill to the goalkeepers skill in determining a goal (except in one on one situations). A superlative striker has a better chance of making a good shot, a superlative keeper has a better chance of stopping a good shot... but if the rest of his team is no good, the opposing team is going to get a *lot* of shots. Kurt Leffew scored quite a bit on Bogan, and in most of the games I played against him Leffew had less than very good striking.

If that were actually true, it'd explain a good bit as I've definitely understood otherwise. It's slowly sinking in over here that what you are saying has some merit.

Dio Nisio's striker is a shining example of that too. Garrett Goldblum was one of my original three 'good' C league players when I started. I sold him because he was more of a striker template, and the other two (Stephenson, Self) were mids. I just saw Goldblum's skill set and the guy is second in the standings for goals scored in the ML.

It's definitely...surprising based on his skill set. He's tied with Franco on Jon's team..and I know the skill set of both players...and its not close.
