codymac [del] to All
I thought I'd go ahead and reserve some ad space to get him his own thread. What does Mr. Harding have going for him, you ask?

1. He's coming out at Unearthly +90%. So I guess he could come out at Divine, conceivably.

2. His talent is 3.33 weeks.

3. He's coming out relatively early next season (Week 5).

So, besides tooting my own horn (which I am unashamedly trying to do), my purpose for this thread was to ask if there had ever been a YP in the USA with this much "pre-draft" hype?

Yes, I know he could come out as a 20yo goalie, etc, so go drink your Haterade somewhere else.

I'm imagining an 18yo 3X excellent in pace, tech and striker with solid defense and PM and good passing.

I'm imagining me being that lucky in Sokker one day. Someday.

I've had some luck with juniors, but not that much. I wish Sokker, like HT, had a "mother club" button where you could see all of your former juniors.

I've got a few promising guys right now, with:

Gerald Butler excellent 22

being the top prospect. He's due to pop this week and has been a 3.5 talent so far.

I've got the youth coach to train'em now(brilliant) but no talent (read: no one better then formidable and sub 4.5 week talent in the school.
2007-09-04 21:25:42
I had 3 players come out formidable-outstanding last season, and 2 are current trainees and the third I just sold today for $750k.

I've sold no-talent solids or excellents for > $200k.

all my youth at formidable seem to come out with excellent striking and non other related skills worth of anything...so I end up getting 75-125k each.

I mean, it's crazy, I'd say 50% of my pulls last year and this year have had excellent striking.

that's goofy. and lucky, actually. Strikers only need 3 stats and so are much more lucrative for a not-so-talented...

Unitalent with anything else woudln't be nearly as much.

Wow, Harding is like winning the sokker lottery. By the way. Love the 'haterade' reference. Im going to use that. How many weeks and at what skill level did harding start at in YS?
2007-09-04 23:11:45
Man, I wish I could remember. I wasn't using SM at the time, so I don't think I've got that info. Maybe 28 weeks?
2007-09-05 00:29:54
I've got a junior at magical 5 due to come out divine but he's coming out week 14, which is a downside (I hope he's 17)
2007-09-05 02:10:58
I'm imagining that Codymac decides to sell him to me for $3,825. And the rest of the game lets it happen because after all I was in an accident and am worthy of sympathy. And my team stinks. Don't forget that part.
2007-09-05 03:11:54
I'll sell him to you for $3,825k. How about that?
2007-09-05 05:14:22
Hrm. Maybe..... Seriously.
