As a new member to Sokker, I want to get bang for buck. I have been told that the critical factor is overall skill level and that individual specific skills are not used for training juniors. If this is the case, is there an optimum level of coach I should use? I currently have an excellent coach, and was thinking of upgrading to outstanding. Does this make sense? Should I go higher?

As a novice, your opinions and advice are greatly appreciated!

In C league, finances are tight. Whether you should upgrade to an outstanding coach depends on whether you think you're going to be promoting to B league, I think. Either way, look at outstanding coaches on the TL, and see if you can afford one. Most of the C league teams I know of only make $30k a week in sponsor money.

Yes, junior coach uses the overall rating for training. But, financially, the issue is the combination of coaches. Benmor is right. The top of C-League sponsor money is around 40k. And, the head coach plus assistants and a junior coach can get pretty expensive. With that in mind, get what you can afford--considering all the coaching positions--and upgrade when you have more cash (long term) available.

(...see you at the end of the season...)

it really just matters when you can afford it. WHen in C and B leagues, i always had a slight operating deficit (lost money every two weeks between sponsors and game seat revenue). Just don't have a huge deficit.

And regarding juniors, i didn't upgrade my junior coach as quickly as the others - it depends on how good your junior squad is (i've always had bad luck with juniors).

Also, i hope you have 3 assistant coaches as well.

For what it is worth, I usually had a significant operating deficit. It wasn't pretty. But it worked.

I am losing 50k every 2 weeks. :(

Thank you to all. I have three assistant coaches and will look to increase the junior coach - perhaps to formidable as I believe this should not have a major financial impact.

Wow. my supporter base keeps going up by 20ish, and my sponsor money goes up by a steadily reducing rate (last week was about $800). i thought that meant the top end was around $40-45k--for C-League.
