Subject: [nt] mr_gibbage
Hey guys, if mr_g is serious, as he seems to be (and he told me he was going to try this a bit ago), he deserves to be taken seriously here. He's been one of the most dominant managers ever in a country the size of britville.
He's probably one of the top 5 most respected managers in the game.
And at this point, he has my vote. I haven't read the US coach's platforms yet, though, so perhaps one of the a-league coaches will win me over.
I do think Lakay has a good point, tho mr_g, and look forward to your answers to his questions:
Will you use this knowledge against us as the coach of another country?
Will you use your knowlege of England's team against your own country in a USA VS England game?
How can you NOT use your knowledge of the tea-drinkers against them, or our team in subsequent seasons if you play the USA after managing us...
I'll add in another, can you commit to managing for 2 terms at least, if you are successful?

Politics aside, with all due respect to the other americans running, he is certainly the most qualified for the position.

i think most of us agree....but you dont want to see only him running right?
Especially until the questions about his intentions are addressed :)
As a soon to be ex-coach I can also find many reasons to vote for Mr. Gibbage even if he's British.
I want to see how he answers these questions and the questions that will follow.

From the front page,
Also, if you are running for election do NOT post questions or arguments in other candidates' threads. Their threads are for them to present their candidacy (and for users from that nation to question them), not for you to debate them.
Candidates, please stick to your own threads.

Thank you Seca,
Both Vovo and 3Wide have been jumping in each other's thread also. This election is fun and it's only the first day.

Hey gubbo =p
In all seriousness now, i'd like to say you're one of the most tactically fearsome managers in the game, and your joke/serious suggestion of that if i went for NT coach in England last season or season before then you would campaign in NZ almost made me do it =p
say you come up against a team that is of similar strength to the USA (Argentina for this example), would you be tending towards..
(a) keeping the USA's strongest players for the match, or would you...
(b) play players that reduce USA's past strengths, but exploit the weaknesses of Argentina?
An a or b answer with a short/long explanation would be sweet. Thanks!

As the soon to be ex-coach, I will testify that if you are elected, you will have intricate knowledge of the USA NT. You'll know how to hinder USA's strengths and how to exploit USA's weakness for at least 2 seasons past your term.
Will you use this knowledge against us as the coach of another country?
I would have no plans to do that. As someone who trains players for other NTs I never have given away their skills unless I am ready to sell, and I have been asked on quite a few occasions. I would in effect treat the USA info as if it were my own players being asked about.
I'd know some of this through my own players, which would be unavoidable, although I am sure whoever gets the England job would be aware of what I know and probably look to play around what I would expect.

As many as needed. I would keep the ones I would use, plus any others that have teams that may be taken over as a bot in order to protect them from disappearing into the Sokker nothingness. Maybe 30-40.

I wouldn't run if I couldn't, although no one can ever 100% guarantee these things as you never really know what is around the corner in real life.

It has to be B. Player selection is as important as the right tactic, as in my statement, sometimes the best players will not all fit into an appropriate tactic. Bit of a balancing act though, as you would fit the players of A into B as best as possible.
