Can I use a player who has a red card for a friendly game?

yes, only official game cards carry on

I thought so too, but when I try to set up the squad foe a friendly game, 2 of my players who have red cards are red.

yea, one of my guys still has a suspension as well, they might be suspended until new season i guess, dont remember how it was last season

They will remain Suspended 'till next official game, in this case first round cup.

Suspended or otherwise, they should still be able to play in friendlies, though.

You're correct. I used a player, who got a red card in the last league match, in the subsequent friendly. I also was irritated that the player was marked in red in the squad for the friendly ... but he played just fine.
