So, now that i've been 'encouraged' :P to click the 'apply' button, I guess that means I can't ask the other candidates questions? I suppose I can ask them to myself here and the other candidates can choose to respond if they wish, right?
Anyway, feel free to make fun of me here, or ask questions, or whatever else your heart desires. I'm already down 9 votes and I'm perhaps not as well known as the 3 guys who have taken the votes so far but you can't doubt my dedication to the cause :P
Hoping for a late rally to finish runner up for the... what would it be now 5th time? Seems like it anyway.

Wll, since its been half an hour and Mr-Llama keeps talking to himself and stealing everyones attention, I'll ask myself some questions and answer them, and I would encourage the other candidates to take a stab at it as well, it could be quite fun.
I am a better candidate than vondocha because...
...I have been playing longer and take a more calculated rather than generalistic approach when building for the future.
vondocha is a better candidate than me because...
...as an assistant to Lakay, he has a better existing knowledge of the players in the nation as a whole.
I am a better candidate than Mr-Llama because...
...I don't reply with just ':)' or 'lol' and I don't imply that the democratic process was a mistake when I lose.
Mr-Llama is a better candidate than me because...
...I can't claim to have beaten the team that pisses excellence, surely thats something he has going for him!
I am a better candidate than mr_gibbage because...
...I am a user from the USA.
mr_gibbage is a better candidate than me because...
...he eminates "I know everything there is to know about this game" when he enters the room and opposing teams will be afraid of a team he coaches.
I am a better candidate than Kysupercat because...
...I haven't been elected to run the NT yet.
Kysupercat is a better candidate than me because...
...he has already been elected to run the NT before.

will you try and test new players in the lineup in friendlys?
what kind of a approach will you take on the world cup?
what kind of a approach will you take on the u-21 world cup?

lol well while there wasn't much compliment there for me, I'm honored you at least mentioned me as one of the opposing candidates :)
will you try and test new players in the lineup in friendlys?
Yes of course, I don't expect us to be perfect and the only way to find the ideal solution is to continuously refine the mesh. But I can also analyze players in their club matches so wouldn't expect to be pulling in hordes of random players just to see what they can do in a one off friendly, the test would have to be justified as part of a controlled study so the results could be properly analyzed.
what kind of a approach will you take on the world cup?
Well, I'd like to qualify for the World Cup, so my approach will be doing everything that has to be done to Qualify including not underestimating any opposition by fielding an inferior lineup (bar any match specific reasoning) when a superior set of players is available for selection in a competition match.
what kind of a approach will you take on the u-21 world cup?
That will depend on our level of success in the World Cup and whether or not my bitching and moaning has yet convinced the devs to finally introduce a proper U21 squad for Vondocha to take charge of :)

I asked this question to one one candiate might as well to all.:
Last season, Lakay changed up the line up a lot, trying out many diffrent players in diffrent games.
Do you think that was a mistake, and would you stick to one line-up or change up every game seeing how players do?

"Mistake" is a bit harsh. I've already briefly touched on the idea of trying out different players in response to malons earlier questions, but as far as taking it one step further, there are situations where you can benefit from keeping the lineup the same for 2 or 3 matches in a row and there are some situations where it would be suicide to do so, its all very dependant on who the opposition is. Playing the same formation with a different set of players in a friendly match could also be a useful tactic in as much for learning about the players as it could be used as managerial mind games. Half of the job is reacting to how the opposition is going to react to what you have done.

Good Answer.
P.S. Set an IRC for LA Binaries on FS(Ian Joyce) :p

If someone is up for it... heck ya. The more hands the better, though I still think its important to have a strong decision maker (ie: The one running the show).
I also think its important to keep the community involved as much as possible whether through working with the coach directly or just participating in the forums to keep interest up promote training and just enjoy ourselves that much more.

Hey x3widRacin, first of all i'd like to say i think its good that another of the top US teams is going for the domestic job although you might not have known i've been tracking you in the past =p
My Question..
Say you come up against a team that is of similar strength to the USA (Argentina for this example), would you be tending towards..
(a) keeping the USA's strongest players for the match, or would you...
(b) play players that reduce USA's past strengths, but exploit the weaknesses of Argentina?
An a or b answer with a short/long explanation would be sweet. Thanks!
Also, if you wish to abuse me at any point for asking questions for a foreign country NT, my GB is wide open =p

As long as you offer me a couch to borrow if I ever get to the other side of the equator you can ask whatever you'd like :)
Again I have to qualify my response with, it depends on how I interpret the abilities of the opposition coach. The easiest way to exploit another teams weaknesses is to know what their weaknesses will be on a given day. If we know this, then playing to those will obviously be a strength for us regardless of if we have to sacrifice something we would normally put out (b). So, taking the question on the surface and adapting it to "(a) Will you blindly field the strongest possible lineup based on the players available to you regardless of opposition or (b) Will you survey your opposition and attempt to capitalize on their weaknesses" then I'd have to lean to (b).
Obviously its never going to be that straightforward and there may even be a time where we just won't be able to say for sure what the opponent is going to do and it may just be a safer move to play a strong side and hope we can edge one more goal than they do, of course, also assuming that they won't be expecting us to do as such and be prepared to easily counter it and shut them down.
That response twisted enough for you? :) It makes sense to me, I swear. As I've mentioned earlier in the thread, I'm for analysis, and trying to figure out what I think that my opponent thinks I'm going to do, and playing to counter that. So whatever category, a or mostly b, that would fall under in a given week, thats what I would do.
