I am kysupercat, and you probably know who I am, but if you don't, I was the very first coach of the USA NT.

I have not been the coach for the NT for several seasons, however, I took the NT the finals stage of the World Cup, when we had very little talent relative to today. Gibbage was the coach that knocked us out of the World Cup that year, only because of the speed of his English players.

This was my worst finish in the Major League, but I also won the USA Cup. Injuries played a factor, but I will not stand by that excuse. As NT coach, I also have a better opportunity to scout opponents and create tactics accordingly.

I want to return the USA to the Top 10 in the world, and continue to move up from there, making us a force against the rest of the world.

Ooooooo C-A-T-S, CATS CATS CATS!!!

How many players would you keep on the NT squad?

What do you think was your weakness the first time you coached the NT? And how will you be better this time around?

Question i'm asking all the candidates, and i'm going to decide between the two i favor based on the answer to this (not saying who the 2 are, however)...

Please tell us (with match link plz for us lazy people) the game that you're the most proud of, from a tactical standpoint. This can be due to a tactic that you felt helped you beat a weaker team or (in mr_g's case as he's not often playing weaker teams anymore) one in which you exploited a perceived weakness in the opponent.

Describe what you saw and how you exploited it.

@ Barndog: I would try to cap the NT at about 40. That would give us 3 full A, B, C squads and some other players to boot.

My weakness the first time that I coached the NT was that there wasn't enough talent on the team. This has changed with the significant youth movement.

@ Guac: 4168764

I acted like a unicornprince4u, which was the key to my success.

If elected will you add a the best USA Future Stars to the unofficial U-21 NT to encourage managers to invest in youth coaches and train USA players?

Most players already invest in youth coaches, so I would want them to focus more on training the USA players. I probably would not add them directly out of the youth squad.

Instead, I would probably do something like a Top 5 players under 19, that way, it makes it more competitive to be on the team, and encourages coaches to train their players.
