Subject: USA Cup (Season 11)

LOL, you say that EVERY WEEK in the Cup last season, yet you managed to make it to the 6th round.

Yeah, but this time my b-team isn't yet ready for prime time because I have two purchases to make that haven't been made yet (of course, a stud defender may show up tomorrow for $3m that will be an a-teamer next week, but will play in the Cup this week for training purposes.) The only thing my b-team has going for it is, well, my b-team strikers are sort of ridiculous:

and my b-teamers beat the llama by 10. And jon's are better.

Of course, when he messes around with the goalie etc, it's a different story.

I got highest score this week! My B-strikers scored 15 out of 40 shots.

My B strikers are so bad I had to bring in a big gun at 70' for the 1-0 win.

I basically played 9 on 11, and played most of my guys out of position. And I won. Wow.

I just don't understand how this match engine treats strikers.

Soo many times my shooters were wide open, with nothing but real estate and one defender at a bad angle to tackle them.

Yet this sim is supposed to convince me that a real soccer player on ANY level would opt to shoot the ball from a mile awya, instead of try to break the bad angle tackle of a single defender.

Dumb engine.

wow, did I ever get a crappy draw for round 3.

Next week I'm playing a former mentee that went bot. I did help him with tactics so now I must figure out how to beat my tactic. Maybe that will help me defensively :)

well considering hes a bot it should be cake.

his team ratings are all weak, and B15 is a horrible division, C caliber.

Thats actually a really really interesting situation Lakay... One you may never experience again in all your years of sokker. A bot team using your own tactic. hmmmm.

Note to self - watch Lakay's match to see how HE beats himself.

anyone else not getting supporter mood from these things? two wins, zero mood increase so far

same here. they probably lowered the value of the cup?

it'd only be REALLY interesting if he had your players. you can certainly just expect to run thru his defenders etc to some point.
