If you have a guy starting in the school for 18 with 33 weeks left, and this is week 12 of the sokker season.

12 -14 (season he was pulled) 3 weeks

week 4 - turns 19
week 18 - turns 20
week 32 - turns 21

21 is really (and tragically) rare

he wasnt talented, so i guess its good it happened on this occasion

yeah, I've got a junior who started in school with 33 weeks, but will come out incredible.

Moderately talented - 5 week talent. Should make for a fair sale hopefully.

I also pulled a 21yo this week and fired him.

Does he come out this season?

so theoretically, i can get a 21 oy last week of the season which turns 22 in a given week?

that would suck for a high talent..

I don't think you could get a late season 21 year old. I don't think its mathematically possible. You'd need someone who was in your YS like 43 weeks.

yea u r right :)

That theory that youths comes in at 16 yo is flawed. My last 21yo was in there for 20-something weeks.

I've had several youths lie about there age. I need to change the team policy and require they show proof of age before the team accepts them.

Youths come into school b/t 16 and 18.

Your guy clearly came in at age 18, and late in that season.

If youth come in at age 19, that's a new, stealth change (so yeah, I doubt that)

Question for the sokker vets......

How often does a Junior come around that would equate to a real life player like Messi, Rooney, or Fabergas?

One who would come out of a junior school with an exceptional skill set at the age of 16 and make an immediate impact on a team and start playing right away at a young age.

If they do exist, how would they arrive at the junior school? i.e. Brilliant 6 weeks, or Incredible 10 weeks ????

Thanks!

Any stud players that will be studs as soon as they graduate will arrive many many weeks out (e.g. 30). I've never had a YS player show up better than good, and stud prospects with talent come out at least incredible. If you figure a best case of 3-4 weeks/pop, you need time for at LEAST 5 pops to get your best case scenario (3 week talent, arrives solid, graduates barely at incredible = 15 weeks left).

Since we've started keeping good records of youth players, I would pick Manny for best pull.

he's still best 20, too :)
