starts 17:59

- result after 90 minutes

1-1

- minute of the first goal, injury or red card

Is this a 3 part question or a one part question? :) I'll say 19 for now

Not looking very promising atm. Not got the def settings anyway near as I would have liked them to be.

I'm only 10 minutes in at the moment but it seems as if the defenders are just sitting back and letting the oppsite attackers run straight into the box without much trouble

edit: Gah, where's Bogan going?! I was typing and all of a sudden he's coming off. haha

I am watching the match aswell.

Mulders is just killing you. I haven`t seen a non-polish player playing so divine.
2007-11-03 18:20:19
what defenders ? :D
looks like ritch and mulders will decide the game....

The idea was to try and not play for offsides, but I've got it badly wrong and set them too far back. Should have moved them out more especially in certain areas as it is giving Van Den Eede far too much space.

It would be easy to excuse the lineup, but could easily have done better than with what was there.

Very disappointing to start that way, but it's always a bit awkward to get these things running. Hopefully get the campaign going next week with a win against India.

Plus points:
- when the ball went forward, the attacking play was strong

Negatives:
- dire defence settings
- their 6th goal was stupidly soft
- Bogan injured

Going to need a rethink of strategy for the return game against Nederland towards the end of the season.

I wish the USA had a midfield maestro like him :(
2007-11-03 18:24:55
At least its only 10 days for bogan so he could be okay to go on for next week :P
2007-11-03 18:25:31
the defence was too far back when the strikers were outside the 18 yard box.....
2007-11-03 18:25:36
I dont have too much experience, but I beleive the Attacking part of the tactic was good, just no center mids to make plays.

1. Defense was defintly too far back. And too far apart.
2. Swinehart is slowest Gk I ever seen. Bogan injured defintly hurt us.
3. No Mids.

Other then that, think it was fine, just tweek up the tactic.

First game, no worries.

I know Im not a great tactician but, from my knowledge of playing the game of soccer realisticly. Other then the horrible defense performance. There was no holding midfield in the middle witch didnt creat much of a attack all game and we didnt hold the ball enough. We would of been better of with like a 4-1-3-2. As there you got the defensive midfielder but you have a holding midfield to create a attack giving your strikers oppurtunities.

Not good at all our central defenders are ball watching instead of chalenging their central attack.

-4 goal differential and we're lucky it's not worst. I'm sure we'll do better in the coming games.
