Subject: [NT] vs Nederland

Not good at all our central defenders are ball watching instead of chalenging their central attack.

-4 goal differential and we're lucky it's not worst. I'm sure we'll do better in the coming games.

I have a question. Why did both our keepers kick the ball directly to the other team 90% of the time? I could rephrase that to ask, why was there no IM there in the middle of the field when our goalie was punting it?

When Bosh and Allison are healthy the defense will be much better. Along with moving the defensive line forward, the defensive mids will be able to move forward as well, improving our mid presence.

What is with the 6 DEF line up??? Any useful hint about it?? (it is a curiousity question, not a complain^_^)

High passers set in front of the defence, they work better set as def rather than mid. Especially when their tech is not that high - they pass before they can be tackled.

definitely a few things tactically that need to improve

I just played a league match against max`s Nederland striker mike van den eede.
This guy is just divine. So smart, accurate...unbelievable player.

This is the thing I don't like about being thrown in at the deep end right from the start - no chance to check and verify if there is anything that is obviously wrong in a tactic that you might not pick up on normally.

well the tactic you played is similar to your own.. and thats been three years in the making. But in your defense i guess being on the weaker side player-wise must a new experience for you haha

it was only 2 main things i saw, but i guess if im not willing to share i shouldnt be complaining, and if i wanted things run my way id have ran again myself =P

IMO, having to hit the ground running with a qualifier as your first match puts you, and all the new NT managers at a disadvantage. It's not like we have to use all 16 weeks of a season to get the qualifier matches played.

Why couldn't the first qualifier be your 2nd or 3rd match? This would allow you to work the kinks out tactics wise.

The defense was a big mishap, it really looked at times like we were playing with just 7 guys on the field, because the defenders were basically standing on the goal line doing nothing. But hey live and learn I'm sure they'll be better suited next match :)
