2007-03-20 14:35:42
Vondo: I'm in charge of assigning mentors. I'll give you a good one later today and let you know who it is.

I am happy to answer ANY questions you want to post here though. Hockey Arena is pretty complicated to start up. I'll send you an in game email soon.

So mean, I got a bad one.
2007-03-20 16:54:32
lol, seriously?
2007-03-20 16:57:49
Mentors, huh. Well in that case, I'll make a team again. I did awhile ago, and played for all of 5 minutes before I got too confused to continue =p

I'll let you know my team info in a little bit.

it's a nice game, it's not nearly as difficult to learn as Sokker, although breaking into II.x there is harder than B-A-league here due to the finances of it...

Sokker's better due to the tactics and visual engine. One plus to HockeyArena is that you get a league game 4 nights a week and then the cup on wed (so sometimes 5 nights).

I'm addicted to online sims (HUGE surprise there eh?) so this is a good thing to me.

Hockey Arena is more complicated on the managerial/GM side of things. It's a game wehre if you are good at the market and managing money you can get far.

The coaching side of things, Sokker blows it away (like most every game really, Sokker's tactical editor owns). There is a coaching factor to HA, but it's more...whats the word I'm looking for...less obvious(not the word but you get the idea).

Any of you guys can always PM me with questions, at any time, but generally speaking, we like ot hook people up with someone specifically whenever possible.

Yeah, thatps probably true. Also probably why i'm not really angry at hockeyarena right now :)
2007-03-20 20:31:35
yeah you're angry at the injuries and underachieving offense :)
2007-03-20 21:26:21
and based on an email from grimy, i'm not too happy with my youth squad either :)
2007-03-20 21:50:42
yeah well, that goes for here too, LOL

kk got my team. login starsfan00, team name Texas Pride.
2007-03-21 13:42:11
cool, I've got 3-4 people to assign mentors too. I'd take a team myself, but I have two being Guacamole apparently still needs me, LOL.

wow dude, you LUCKED OUT.

You pulled a team in III league. Thats a rarity.

Here's the good news: You could have started in a IV or even V tier league. Your team, starting out, is considerably better then most everyone else's starting teams.

Here's the bad news: You're gonna get your ass kicked this season, and probably relegate to IV league.

Still, you got a great team to start with. Definitely worth taking the initial beatings.
I'd rather do what your doing, then what say Vondo got (a team in V.6 I think).

Are you including me as well in your count? I need help, and i seem to have a strange odor.
