Subject: Ohio State's plan
dag, no video about coach Sweater Vest and this emails going back 12 months, or OSU getting bounced out of March Madness so soon???
you are disappointing me.... ;)

dagwood, read in the paper that coach Sweater Vest has is date with the NCAA Infractions Committee. On a scale of 1-10 what do you think his chances of staying at OSU are?
From what I have read, what he did (or did not do regarding reporting the emails) would have gotten 99% of all college coaches fired, I think Tressel might survive, however he should get severe penalties, maybe even a full years suspension.
We are only about 15 weeks from football season!

Maybe a 2
His lie is considered far worse than Bruce Pearls

He won't get fired as I'm almost certain that he is taking the heat from the athletic director/president and such...
They won't fire him unless the NCAA makes them. Which is why I give it a 2. There are lots of rumors out there right now. Including the basketball program being involved, and possible USC like sanctions.
yes, I do not think that OSU will fire Tressel on their own. would be hard to find as good a coach out there as Tressel. However the NCAA might get word to OSU that it might be in their best interests to have a going away party for him.
Yes, the 9 months of lies is not good. Also from what I have read, Tressel contacted others about the situation, talked to them about it but yet did not tell the OSU nor the NCAA. To me, THAT is what is going to pull his short hairs.

Whatever their "official" plan is, I suspect their real plan is to continue cheating.
Speaking of cheating, did you know that Chuck Norris does not need to cheat death? He beats it fair and square.

Tressel is 'Dead Man Walking' - we just dont know how long he will be walking at OSU
Seems that every week or so there are more 'rumors' about OSU problems.
Of course last fall many in the SEC thought that the reports of Cam Newton's father asking from money from Miss. State was enough to have him ineligible....so you just never know what the NCAA might or might not do...

wow, read Dotting the Lie....that is alot of crap that has gone on. However you could probably pick a couple of dozen schools that have had many instances of players doing bad things.
however it seems that OSU has had MORE than their share of "players gone wild"
