They're not soccer fans, then are they?

He's here for too much money simply because the MLS is not as popular league as other leagues that have 50-100 years of existance on it.

It just annoys me. The guy who gets me interested in soccer finally disappears. I think its ridiculous the money he'll be getting. Is anybody else getting that much money in the MLS?

No, nobody gets that much money. He is english, he is popular, and he plays for one of the top National Teams. It wasn't going to be cheap to get a player like that here.

Also, why do you talk bad about the MLS?

He could have said no, and gone somewhere else. For that much money though, who would have said no? So don't talk bad about mls, talk about beckham.

Dude, take it easy. David Beckham is a good player, good, but aging. I don't think he would have been a starter for another big club, with so many young players starting to get known. He moved to the MLS, a league that isn't well known, in a country where soccer isn't the biggest sport. But, support for soccer is growing, the MLS is growing, and there are a couple of players that are growing here as well. Who knows, maybe the MLS could be the best league in the world one day=p

Then I'll look back at this post and be like, "ha, and you were talking bad about it."

We'll see. But I think our league will be better. Sydney FC signed Tony Popovic, a former defender for the national team. They are now doing negotiations with Robbie Fowler, the former England Striker. I suppose he's in the same boat as Beckham.

In the world of soccer no one knows what will happen. I mean, I heard that Liverpool had gotten beat by Sao Paolo one time. Sao Paolo is a good team from Brazil. But the Brazilian League....eh....I would still think their chances vs a team like Liverpool wouldn't be that high. They only won 1-0..but yeah.

Anyways, we all love soccer here, yes? So let's just chill and hope that both our leagues grow to be great like the Premier League, La Liga of Spain, etc.

i doubt Fowler will go to Australlian league he was also in negotiations with the New York Red Bulls for along time so you dont no wit Fowler
