DC United beat Chivas..
2007-03-21 23:13:33
and you are suprised DC United can play with any mexican team. They also tied Real Madrid last year 1-1 as much as i hate them they are a good team
2007-03-22 00:33:39
USAs club teams have struggled against mexican teams, even though our NT has done better recently
2007-03-22 01:00:18
DC United hasnt struggled and either really has Houston Dynamo. But, yea you are right other then these two teams no 1 else from the MLS can beat a mexican team maybe this seaosn my Red Bulls could!
2007-03-22 01:48:16
yea DC is doing well
2007-03-22 22:55:38
No, I am merely stating that DC United, a USA team, tied with Chivas, one of the best from Mexico. That would mean that a team from the United States has a higher chance of winning a Copa Libertadores sooner then that one guy up there thinks.

I am from Madrid, I have seen Beckham too many times, he isn't nothing from other world, I am happy he goes out because he is not a very good player...

My coworkers and I talk about soccer a lot, and have talked about all the players that go to Real Madrid. They get the best players in the world to play for them, yet they seem to not do anything "other Worldy" as you said. Beckham, with manchester united, was awesome. Ronaldo, with...uh...whoever it was he played, was awesome. Robinho, one of the best strikers, can't get any play time because the directer person doens't like his style. Real Madrid wanted to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, and he said no. He chose Manchester United. I don't know what point I'm trying to make, just sharing some info.=p

I think your point is that Real Madrid are like the Yankees, they spend way too much money for too little results. :p

If you mean the Copa for the club teams I would believe that the Mexican teams are better in form of soccer than the US teams. Mind you that in the Mexican leagues, they are almost half way done with this season now, while the US teams just started playing their season a few weeks ago.

the Red Bulls could win it the MLS this year

Wateruous in goal
Reyna,Schopp, Van den Bergh, Kovalenko, and Mathis in your midfield
and up top Jozy Altidore and Juan Pablo Angel

That is a great lineup for a MLS team better then DC's

"Once they get into high school, they take their athletic coordination and apply it to real sports, like American football, baseball, basketball, and ice hockey (in northern states)"

I'm just cathing up with this thread, but islander 1 said something this early on. And, I beg to differ. Texas has more for pay professional hockey teams and players than any other single state or province in North America (per local USA Hockey Offcials Association).

maybe so, but any other southern states high on that list?

I know that currently there are 10 minor league teams (not including juniors) and 1 NHL team in Texas. I haven't found anywhere else in North America with that kind of concentration.
