Beckham played today against Estonia. England won that Euro 2008 match 3:0.
Becks was just divine++, just amazing passes.

Yes, he did nicely today, and in the previous matches.
I pulled a player named "Vince Beckham" in HT. He's about the only reason I haven't quit there.
Is it all money, or do they really want to play in MLS??
Beckham 50 mil, I don't know how much Angel is getting paid....
I wonder how much their playing Blanco as well..

beckham is 250 mill for 5 years angel was 1 mill for i forget how man years and angel has said numerous times that the MLS has a different atmosphere and it is way better then every puts it down to me and he is glad to be here and beckham has been rumored to wanna come here for years and blanco i dont want him here he doesnt belong
I think Beckham is bloody idiot! II reckon he's the best midfielder. He is one of the reasons why I became I soccer fan! Then Steve McLaren sacked him and England suffered. Now David Beckham is back and England are OK!
Why the hell will he waste all his skill in the MLS! I'm sorry guys but I'm not a fan of your league - you need to get superstar players growing in your league to get my vote.
They can't expect to instantly convert Americans back to soccer because they bought a superstar player. What happened to the MLS after Pele left? It crumbled. Same thing will happen again....

Yeah. The a-league. I want it to be put on the FIFA game. Our best player is Archie Thompson in the A-league. He scored 5 goals in the grand final last season. Our teams are:
Melbourne Victory
Sydney FC
Adleaide United
Newcastle Jets (Go Newcastle Jets!)
Central Coast Mariners
Perth Glory
Queensland Roar.
We did have the New Zealand Knights last season. But they will be replaced by a team from Auckland.
So there are only 8 teams, which sucks. But they're planning to expand it to about 16. With teams from Cairns, Hobart, Western Sydney, and the South Isaland of New Zealand. Hopefully one from the Nothern Territory, Canberra.
Our best player, Archie Thompson, is the substitute striker for the Australian national team. This year will be the third season of the A-league.
In our first season, Dwighte Yorke was our superstar player. For Sydney FC.
The first season 2005, was one by Sydney, with Central Coast coming second in the final knockout stages. Adelaide won the league stage.
The second season, 2006, was won by Melbourne Victory 6 - 0 Adelaide United. Melbourne one the group stage as well.....
In December, David Beckham's LA Galaxy will verse Sydney FC.....

Don't criticize a league that has barely a decade and a half of action. Freddy Adu is a young player, one who many think will be a so called superstar, as you say.
Haven't heard of him until yesterday, when he scored 0 goals against Brasil....
@barmy... could it possibly be, just possibly that LA is a better stage for him the Yorkshire or Madrid were?
Think about it, he has a soccer camp in LA, Posh feels she belongs there, and oh, could it be, just be, that his ego wants him to be known as the man that put soccer really on the map in the USA.
Sorry I am just tired of people slamming Beckham, it is a brilliant PR and career move for a player nearing his twilight.
Yes the A league, good one, your best players are in Europe, I had heard Dwight Yorke had a nice run there in his late 30s ;) Isn't Romario there too? After a run in the USL.

MLS is probley on the same level now as your A-League. Freddy Adu, Jozy Altidore, Danny Szetela these are just few names that are going to grow to superstars
After looking at some of the roster for the clubs in A-League I would have to say we have better players on are rosters then yours.

I will answer both your answers at once. Romario came here for 6 matches, just to get his 1000th goal. He got injured so he played for 3. He didn't get his 1000th goal. Now he's in South America. Dwight Yorke left for Sunderland. This gave us a lack of flare in the A-league. We now have Fred, a Brazillian, Lazaridis, who just came back from a drug ban. He retired from international football, earlier on this year. Danyy Vukavic, and Nick Carle, who is still a youngster, but made his return to the national team for the Asia Cup.
So yeah, our a-league sucks. But we've only had two seasons.
Our grand final last season saw 55,000 people come and watch, at the Telstra Stadium in Melbourne. That was more than any AFL Grand Final at that ground. So Aussies are learning to love soccer.
By the way, I think if Beckham went to USA, he would lose his touch.

He lost his touch for a very long time at Real Madrid, at least I think.
