To grow the MLS needs more teams...more games a season..I think.

people need to care about soccer for that to happen. Not going to happen in the US, American football is king.

Soccer will never be king, although the way basketball and hockey are going, it could eventually be up there after football, baseball, and NASCAR.

The latino population is growing, it is just a matter of time.

Yes I was trash talking the MLS. Just because I don't want Beckham to become trash. He is a great footballer, the greatest in the game. Now he's going to league, that I don't even know about. I'm a Chelsea person and I would rather see Didier Drogba or John Terry go to the MLS over David Beckham.

I am of the opinion that Beckham needs the MLS more than the MLS needs Beckham.

The greatest in the game? He gets nice passes, crosses, freekicks, but so do so many others. Juan Roman Riquelme, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Francesco Totti. You don't know about the MLS, but I don't know about the Australian League. John Terry go to MLS over David Beckham? Are you serious???

I didn't say he was the best. I said he was the greatest..... And I hate Riquelme, Zidane, and Totti. Beckham is better. David Beckham has the greatest reputation in soccer. He has the greatest club (not the best... Barcelona is the best.) And probably the greatest salary. The greatest public interest. He is the greatest name in all of football. In fact... I don't think he ever was the best. I don't understand how he became so great.

So why would the greatest name in football, want to end up in MLS? I don't understand.

He's here for too much money simply because the MLS is not as popular league as other leagues that have 50-100 years of existance on it.
