And getting ahead of himself.
USA 1-0 Canada
Mexico 2-0 Guadalupe
The prospects are enticing, but both have to make it past their semi's.

USA was dominating a good portion of the 1st half but yes canada woke up and got chances! and yes canada was robbed i should be on my couch right now watching a 10 man USA squad playing a Ian Hume Canada squad
red card was in 88th minute so.. basically, end of match, didnt help canada that well
US was unbelievable for the first 5-10 minutes. But in my biased opinion were quite flat from then on.
Thought the US caught a couple of breaks. The Bocanegra yellow in the first half was very clumsy and dangerous - could have been red. And of course the "offside" ... *ahem* ... in added time.
I'm not a big Donovan fan. I find he falls down far too much. :) But he had a nice game today - good vision on the first US goal, and a well taken spot kick.
I think Hume always looks more dangerous then Gerba. Not sure why he is the second (really the 3rd - Friend out injured) choice at striker.
Good luck in the final. :) *Waits to see if he goes 2 for 2 predicting scores.*

It was clearly not offside...from the first touch of his own teammate to the auto-onside provided by..uh..that one guy...onyewu..or something.
I do agree US was unbelievable the first 10 minutes but they also played decent threw the half the Hejduk goal was great passing. Great vision from Donovan to see him coming in. I thought thought the game should of ended 3-2. Donovan should of put away Beasleys pass where Donovan had empty net all he had to do his one touch. Hume i thought brought a real spark to the Canadian squad with his tough play and then his goal. The controversial offside goal was should of counted Onyweu flicked it off his head and found the Canadian player but, a win is a win and can do anything about it now.I hope to see Mexico beat Guadaloupe. It would be a intense and energetic final.
