As a Man City fan, I'm sure you are aware that Beasley finishes about as well as anyone else at city. Though thats not saying very much either.

you guys need to add some quality in your attack. Oh and please stay away from our Mark Hughes, I'd be devestated if he left.

So if the play was for Mexico, instead of against (same EXACT play), you would think it WAS a dive. HAHA Save me the energy.

It was a foul in the box. PK was correctly given. Besides, with the US's woeful finishing in this tourney, Magallon didn't need to commit the foul after being schooled on the turn by Ching. We know Ching would have skied it 20 rows up the grandstand while shooting from point blank range. :P

Magallon was beaten badly on that play. He had to commit the foul or Ching was shotting at point blank range. He impeded Ching from getting to the shot by his actions. Accept it and move on.

beasley has his moments, his hooking throughball to ching in the 2nd half where ching turned and chipped it into the post was amazing. it was the exact same amazing pass that lead to our only goal last world cup by dempsey

yea but still i watched a game that could of possibley been 4-1 USA. They missed 2 wide open nets theres no excuses.

There was contact, I admit, but, it was high, practically on his thigh. He fell as if he was getting his foot tangled on something.

Yes, the penalty was correctly given, since there was contact, but it wouldn't have been given if he didn't fall...which, if he did take like a man, he wouldn't have.

What about Onyewu pushing Bravo out of the way on a through ball?

As for your Beasley comment, agreed no one could finish, but he created so many blown opportunities that other than Vassell, he was the worst. (Corrardi never had chances to finish, at least with regularity)

McCarthy is one, but probably a longshot, Anelka, Alan Smith (really unlikely to see a trans-mancunian transfer) Marlon Harewood and Michael Owen.

I wanted to mention that aspect (sudden equilibrium lose by Ching) of the play, but didn't want to give you the bait. However, I see you took it anyway.

As someone else mentioned immediately after your reply, Mexico, along with the rest of the world, should be playing in skirts accordingly.

The US has been playing like "Men" for the last 20+ yrs and it hasn't helped. They are starting to learn to play the game how it is called worldwide. The US has arrived!! o_O

BTW, Gooch was looking at the ball (it was a high ball coming in) the whole way. Bravo looked at the ball then Gooch and threw himself at Gooch to initiate that contact. The ref didn't buy it because no advantage was lost on the play by either team. Play ON!

Regardless of how both teams got to the final..
Mexico playing horribly but managing to score one goal and winning..
USA playing decently but winning cuz of penalty kicks, missing clear chances...Donovan vs. Canada...Beasley, wide open vs. Mexico...

That was one freaking kick ass game.
The final, the grand finale, was one of the best games I've ever seen.
