Subject: training past divine

Can players get trained past divine? I thought that divine was as high as players training went, but do players continue to improve their skill with training even though their level remains at divine?
There is a $25million dollar striker on the transfer whose comment is that he has been trained for 13 weeks past divine!

My understanding is that you can train a little past divine, but that skills are capped. I'm not sure where that cap is - I've heard 17.1, 17.5 and 17.99 (17 meaning divine) from different sources of varying repute.

Training to divine +13 is, according to my understanding, not productive.

Indeed, i wouldn't recommend it as it wont really be recognised much on the TM and there will not be much difference on the field for the amount of weeks put into it.

Thanks for the replies. It really is a moot question for my team right now, but their is some strategic importance in knowing the answer. I imagine that their are some players that are double divine.
