Subject: Voyageur Cup - Season 12

It looks like Partizan took it easy on his brother withouth risking the result. Preston North End wasnt able to pull an upset this week, but didnt they do really well in the FA cup this year? Pills United were upset, although by the looks of their ratings they werent really putting everything into the game against the Threshers. I see that the last team went down to unfortunate defeat as well this week.

And, of course FC DW dropped their game against BC Angels. This is a biggish upset even though the Angels are a div ii team and DW is a div iii team this season. I will have to watch out for BC in my league - they seem to have a secret weapon.

Poor performance from my side but somehow we manage to win the game. We knew Xvala very well from last season and thought we gonna do ok with the second squad and almost screwed the game. You right lorne, BC angels are quite a team there with 6-0 win over FC Delije sure a big upset. I know Delije from the start here and I am surprised they droped to div 3, don't know what is going on, as I can see the manager is active. Anyway I don't see any secret weapon in Angels team nor there is any star there but nice to have such capable managers.

hehe I have to admit I was a little worried on their first shot PNE potted a goal! Not to mention it wouldn't be the first time us hares dropped an early match in the cup :P

Your right about Pills United not playing the most optimal lineup this week.

The ratings in the game against Angels dont really seem to go with the score. He sure did use his chances up. Its all about the tactic he went with I guess. I told lorne on skmail about the 'problem' I have :))
Anyways, I will need to go out on the TL and spend some money :D

Can anyone help Milanche with setting tactics? I had referred him to the Newbie conference and specifically Robnobs newbie guide. Here is his 'problem'. (not a big problem and a very common thing with new managers)
"I have problem with this game. I know about training, youth and everything else but setting the lineups. It would never save the tactic I want so I`m basically always playing the same thing. When I go to edit line up, I move players around, based on some formation, and hit save but it says tactic couldn`t be saved!?
What am I doing wrong? "

As far as I know, there are two reasons why the "tactic cannot be saved" messages occurs.

The first reason is if you are trying to edit a default tactic. Make sure when you "Create a new tactic based on" you give your tactic a distinct name (different from the default tactics) and click "Create". This is the very first step that must be done.

The only other time the message comes up is when you try to save a tactic that has no changes from the original. But in this situation, it sounds more like the first reason.

Somehow, it's all good now.

Also when saving a tactic you have to move the ball to all the squares.

Also you have on youtube how to make tactic.

I wouldn't say that I went easy on him, he played a lot of his trainees too

but he is well instructed on how to build tactics, and it showed.

I dont forsee any upsets this week. (Lets hope that is not a jink on me) The away team should win every game.

I think we're due for some weird ones. We've had a few close calls already. I'm guessing 3 left-side teams go through (though I don't know which 3 it will be :D).

GFC Kimberlites might be one of them :D

And T. Tomahawks, I'm playing mostly my 2nd stringers against a respectful opponent we shall see....
