Subject: What we are training?

2008-05-05 17:45:55
I would like to make a stadistic of what other Canadian teams are training.
The reasons are to be able to have trainers for all the position for our NT, to know who to contact if you want to sell a player who can fit better in another position.

The information is something that is not going to affect the clubs, put only if you train GK, DEF, MID or ATT (and maybe the number of Canadians).

I am training MIDs, 10 Canadians

DEF 1
MID 4
ATT 3
GK 1

I train mids, 22 players....

more specifically, I am training
"Vince Lemieux, age: 20
value: 758 000 C$, wage: 5 840 C$
club: Real Hawkes, country: Canada
brilliant form, outstanding tactical discipline

adequate stamina, tragic keeper
formidable pace, formidable defender
outstanding technique, excellent playmaker
formidable passing, solid striker "

in 1. pace, 2. passing. and 3. playmaking, over the next few seasons.

wow, he is going great isn't he! living up to his namesake :)

I am training ATT for the time being.

I think he may be the best Canadian MID of his age.
2008-05-05 23:58:25
definately

Verville, 21 years old, is pretty nice too. But I am proud of my Lemieux and am building my franchise around him.
I dont, however, know who his namesake is. I remember Claude Lemieux well from a few Stanley Cups, but not Vince.

I think Deja was thinking of Mario...

I have been training technique. Biron is the player I've been focussed on. He will reach unearthly technique early next season. Then I will switch to either striker or pace.

I have 3 Canadian trainees. The last youth from my own system I considered trainable was Broussard - 4 seasons ago. :S I do have a "brilliant" later this season.

Thanks lorne, yes the chicken lover has been pretty talented :) He's been my best youth for sure. Verville & his German counterpart Lauth are the two players I've been focusing on.

As for training, I mix things up from week to week but have been focusing on pace, passing & defense (a week or two of technique too!).
2008-05-06 18:16:48
Pace for now.
2008-05-06 18:42:29
pace but switching to passing (mid)shortly.
2008-05-07 17:49:04
Actually training passing for Mids. About to switch to pace.
2008-05-07 19:55:49
pace, gonna concentrate on ATT training next 2 seasons
2008-05-10 04:49:39
Training Keeper and will probably keep it that way until a nice junior comes along.

Singh and Lemaitre are both being trained every week.

Is anyone training defense next season? I have a 17yo, talent 4, who would be good for Canada given a lot of def training.

Mick el-Mubarak, age: 17
value: 175 600 C$, wage: 1 760 C$
club: Real Hawkes, country: Canada
unsatisfactory form, very good tactical discipline

unsatisfactory stamina, hopeless keeper
outstanding pace, adequate defender
adequate technique, adequate playmaker
adequate passing, unsatisfactory striker
2008-05-17 06:38:31
wow! very nice!
