Subject: What we are training?

2020-04-14 16:44:55
Do not have time now but later will explain you my point not against to train pace first

For me:

Pros:
- Pace is one of the most useful skills, if it's not alone. So the sooner the better

Cons:
- Pace is one of the easiest training to organize, so the later the better (you never know what will happen in the future)

So you decide what to priorize

Everyone has their points, but from what I've gathered from myself/others pace is #1. And by #1 I mean it's the best skill in the game lol, which kinda sucks, but it is...

player 1 is ALWAYS going to be better than player 2
7 0
17 17
8 10
8 5

player 2:
7 0
8 17
17 10
8 5

At this time it could be possible that pace will be trained slower for the player than technique would, which is why training pace at younger age is optimal.

In what sense? You mean getting a new junior and wanting to switch up the training? Or something else?

I think training to at least 14/15 pace by 22 is quite good

Yeah, exactly

But also, it lets you play however you want, and you probably want this when your players are already good, unless you have other generation of older players haha

I'm not sure I entirely agree with that assessment.
The reason I say that is because you can train 22 players if you do pace and only 10 if you do tech.
Now I appreciate that if you were concentrating on one player, you could train the tech etc and you'd probably end up with a slightly better player but you basically miss out on training 12 players.

However, I do strongly agree that the earlier the pace is trained the better.

If we are playing a competitive match I'm going to take player 1 over player 2 no questions asked. If we are just talking about training, then it's not 100%, but still more.

I also don't know how much of a difference it actually makes, but I'm trying to give majority of my current players league+cup matches so they get full training. That and I'm also lazy to buy more trainees for pace lol. I also hate having to cut down to only 10 when training something else :D

let me explain what im against to not max skills in early ages why
because team that buys the player can not train the skill any more so no more pace for rest of the players :(
what else there is secondary training even if you do not train pace the young players 22 23y for 2 seasons will max pace or def for that time so instead training pace and def the player can start secondary skills early so that is the point of course defs and pace is most important for defs

so that is wahy i prefer to get defs that are 17 17 on main skills on earl start of their 18 skill or even 16 16
if they are younger

I believe you can train 14 players to 100% training each week if you do pace training and make 3 subs in both league and friendly games and have no injuries ;-)
2020-04-15 01:44:22
And then discard 6 without talent and switch to another skill :)

I think training at 100% is worth it, although you train less players
2020-04-15 01:53:50
I didn't quite understand, but I'm pretty sure we're on a similar-ish wavelength :D

@terrion you mean discard 4? Since you can train 10 on tech
2020-04-15 04:14:48
simple the reason i commented about player is that i will no buy him (good player but not good for me) cause i need to train pace and he is maxed on pace :)
2020-04-15 09:26:06
Gotcha, well if you only train pace that makes sense. He'd be perfect for me in 12 weeks :(
2020-04-15 10:23:16
Not if you train at 100%, unless some of them play in the NT
2020-04-15 11:44:00
oh true, but with that I'll probably go for 5 in league and 5 in cup. We'll see, but i have a lot of promising juniors. Maybe I will limit it to 8 for tech, but i think some of them will be getting good NT time.
2020-04-15 13:51:09
I rotate all skills but still hate pace training to be waste
2020-04-15 13:55:08
I use a couple of tips for that:

- Train pace in between seasons :P
- Train it when you want to renew the team. First of all, buy the young replacements. This way you acumulate enough players to feel you are being efficient with the pace training. Once the older players are ready, sell them. When all of them are sold, switch to another training
