Subject: One name = no name!

How's this for weird! Last week I bought a player from Brazil with only one name. Quite common in Brazil IRL of course, but it turns out that SK regards his one name, Dorvalino, as his first name only. So he plays with no name on his uniform, just his number. His name appears only as D. in the team listing. Even stranger, the game report doesn't know who he is so they simply miss it out.
For example, when he scores, it may read like this:
gets to the ball first. runs past the defender. shoots. GOAL!

Has this come up before? Does anyone know how it could be fixed so we can see who he is on the field?! I wonder if someone in SK could give him a first name, eg 'El Dorvalino'. That would fix it I think.

Anyone have any ideas! Who should I contact about getting him a first name or even an initial before his name?

Just looked at the Brazilian name database and they seem to have a kinda gap right at the top of the list where a name would be

Dunno how it got there or how to get rid of it (if they want it rid of, prolly not) It is probably there to symbolise the fellas that have single names from Brazil, ie, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo etc..

Edit: And i dont think his name can be changed, sorry!

Thanks, I suspect you're right there. Just thinking - his name would prolly have to suddenly appear in all his previous game-reports in Brazil and Italy if it's changed?! But who would know for sure if modifying a name is possible? Or are you saying it's a definite non starter?

Long time ago, Tottenham Hotspur had a star player called John White who was known as 'the white ghost'.
But at least he had a last name!

Barhilo is right - aside from getting a developer to edit his name in the database, there isn't anything you can do.

Best you can do is enjoy the quirkiness. :)

True, true! My favourite now is Ronaldinho. Very classy. Almost as good as Garrincha who played with Pele and co.!!

Good and well, but how many great Ice Hockey players with single name do you have in Brasil?!! ;)

So, do you know any of the developers who can be bribed? ;)

And quirky it is sure enough! When Stampedos saw my line up just before the live action on Sunday, he must have thought I was fielding only 10 players!

Hehe I didn't see the game live not even the line up before the match but after I seen #11 without name first thing I thought was you must have sold a player right after the game.

Anyway, nice ghost you have there and congrats for the title. Good luck in the playoff.

Thanks! Nice to win the title after picking up 5 bronze cups in II.03. In fact I think I own it now so don't be third after Sunday - you won't get a cup! ;).

Looks like I'll be playing Snowhares or Hajduk in the Q game. I don't think even my ghost will scare either of these powerhouses! But...we'll give a shot...
