Subject: Voyageur Cup - Season 13
Stayed up to see Biron's healing progress. He's at 9. It's still mathematically possible he could play Wednesday. Again, it's probably in my best interest if he isn't available. :)
Biron didn't make it, so Broussard will be doing double-duty this week. For Bonavista, the "ghost" also has a slight knock, tho it didn't affect him much on Sunday - don't think it will be an issue.
Jalea of Scarberia - Partizan 74 has been an intriguing match-up the past few seasons. The only notable absence will be P74's midfielder Hernáiz, who is suspended.

I had to double up a couple of players. I thought long and hard about using Manilla. Most of the week he wasn't in the line-up. I eventually decided the ME wasn't smart enough to injure my best player two weeks in a row. Wrong. :P
The uber-press was an interesting approach from Bonavista. Unfortunately Broussard and Curely are the prototypic anti-press strikers, having great tackling and technique. Broussard missed two more penalties against a mid-range keeper. Just don't get it. :)
Watched the other match until it was 2-0. Tekielka was awesome in goal. Klinger not so much.
Will make for a good match next week - especially with Manilla out forever. My team form has improved since the start of the season. Biron will be back. Should be good. :)

I knew I couldn't stop Broussard especially if I played 70% of the game in my own half like last Sunday. Hence the press which at least switched nearly 60% to your half! It seemed to work to some extent in the first half, at least in keeping the score down, when I had your guys offside 8 times. But the second half was like a completely different game, only 2 offside calls and your guys beat my Ds to the ball repeatedly. It was almost like your guys made a slick adjustment at half time, but maybe it was just adding Curley that tipped the scales?! Bottom line is you're 6 goals better than me not matter what line-up I field!
Should be a great final, look fwd to watching it. Btw, I play your cup opponent on Sunday. You want I should soften them up a bit for you in time for the final?! ;)

lol my problem isn't shots it's getting goals....why do you think your team played so different?

Valiant's defense played quite a strong match. They seemed to be able to beat your squad to the ball. You're throw-ins were rather weak too imo, which aren't like you....
well, several were thrown far down the line when there was a much closer player, nothing I can do about that
