Subject: [NT] World Cup Qualifying
We're all set for Finland. The NZ - Finland result last week likely means we have to get some points off the Fins somewhere ... today would be as good a time as any. :)
I think it`s highly possible you can do that. Imo you are clearly good at making tactics, better than Finns coach. Better steal some points from Suomi, because you won`t get any from NZ:)
1-1 at halftime...draw would be good for me:)
2:1 Canada leads..Haha that`s more like it...lets leave Suomi away from WC.

It´s getting really exciting now..
Shame that only 2 best will qualify. The pressure is still on:) Results between NZ-Canada-Suomi will decide. We all should beat other 3 teams. I think Suomi is in trouble now, because the must win NZ and Canada later this season. I think if they lose to either one of us, then we both are through. However the season has only started, too many games to go to make any clear predictions.

Awesome Seca, just awesome
I only wish that Caron and Iginla had more def skills......

Thanks guys. :) A result we needed after NZ's win last week.
Felt a little hard done by being tied after the first half. In my biased opinion Canada had carried the play and could have had a lead. Second goal was pretty flukey, but (IMO) not unfair after the chances we had previously.
Was a pretty scary prospect defending a 1 goal lead for 20 minutes with Iginla (a pure offensive middie) playing left back. He might have seemed an odd choice for coverage, but I felt his position was more "expendable" then either of the CMs. With 5 at the back usually you can get away with one guy who doesn't tackle well so long as he's fast and can get a good chip on the ball.
The tactics looked somewhat similar, but there were a couple of weaknesses in the Finnish one that Canada (especially Lemieux) took advantage of. I don't really want to go into specifics - maybe I'll post something in the Canada NT forum. Probably not today tho ... pretty crazy week.
Lemieux and Lavrynenko were sensational. The defense as a unit played well, covering each other up whenever there was a little slip. Madden wasn't really worked all that hard.
As Vilpu pointed out, this really builds some interest in the upcoming NZ - Canada match. Finland will be tougher on both next go round. The group is still wide open. :)

...meantime my striker Gilbert saved Vilpu's backside against Paraguay ;)
Interesting game in week 5 is coming :)

week 5? Week 7 you mean between NZ and Canada?:)
The negative thing about that is that Seca knows the skills of NZ players. Therefore he is also aware, that my midfield is just terrible. I have no one even half as good as Lemieux. My best mids have outstanding pm and passing...Keeper, defense and striking should be equal.

My mistake :)
We have some time, maybe you should use your scouts ;)

I am scout-NT manager 2in1:)
Having a player like Lemieux I could do miracles, however so far I have done really well.
Hopefully Gilbert won´t lose any skills before the next season. I have no idea why he plays better than Morocombe, who is better. Definitely he is my favourite player.
I am wondering if I could make a deal with Seca - if I am right, then we should draw only once ( meanwhile we should take 3 points from other opponents) and we should be through even if Suomi is able to beat us.
I afraid Cymru a bit, their average mark is similar to us, so might have problems with them.
