Subject: [NT] World Cup Qualifying

Thx for the match Laufer.

It´s not your fault that my boys did a great job today, i have promised them free beers and lots of topless women if they could play equal to U. Now they are drinking champagne instead and the women are all naked, entertaining our boys :D

Sometimes SK isn´t fair, just as IRL, that happened today.

I would like to know why Barrera is not playing anymore.

He will play, I thought he didn't fit the format of my tactics thus far

So Guatemala today? Hopefully we can start to chew into Iceland's goal differential advantage.

I hope so too, players with high form got the advantage in this match. Seca I think you will see a pleasant surprise in the Canadian attack. Amado will not play due to his weak form......

uffff, I hate this "forest" of legs in the opposing 16 yard box, and looks like so do our strikers. I expected a lot more goals. Caron and Iginla did their job perfectly, but finishing was just not there. Their goalie must of had 12-13 quality saves in this game

Two weeks in a row without much luck around the net. :( This match really shouldn't have been close. Giacomi was atrocious. W Lav's last second goal didn't change the fact he had a miserable game.

I was very surprised to see Broussard in - hadn't realized he'd been called up. To pick up on one of last week's themes, he is a game-changer - brings a different package then most of our other strikers. I'd be more inclined to spin those two around tho - start Wang, and bring Broussard out for 20-30 minutes at the end.

Nice to see Barrera in - his passing was an asset given the wide formation. I still don't quite understand the fascination with Zanardi ... :)

One quick tactical note - I think out strikers need to be further up in the offensive zone. It's alright to drop 1 back ... especially with 3 up front. But I thought all 3 were positioned rather deep in the 18 yard box - makes for more difficult shooting.

Hopefully we can start to chew into Iceland's goal differential advantage.

Cambrant your time is coming wait your turn :)))
I think this was the last time I used 3 strikers. I have to make them come more towards the ball. My thinking was always to counter the heavy defence with 3 strikers, but now I realize it only congests traffic even more in the box. What do you guys think?
2008-07-12 19:25:29
Well... i Think U should go four 4 strikers next match :D

* Guys, i hope U understand that i am just teasing U, we are not used to be in such a good position *
2008-07-12 19:26:42
And next time there will only be blondes with big *beeeep*
2008-07-12 19:33:32
I think this was the last time I used 3 strikers

I hope so too.
I hate beeing right in this case, but 3 striker tactics are just not working.
What the engine does to the finishing of maximum divine strikers is also not very amusing!
Wyn was still the best with his 1 goal from 8 shots today which is really alarming!
You cannot only blame it on the engine or the players.
Something must also be wrong with the tactic because it's just not normal to end like that...

/edit
Amazing what their keeper saved btw!
With something wrong with the tactic....there is a meaning in German "Da ist der Wurm drinnen".
It's better to start a new one from scratch :(

Hey hey, isn´t it just unluck?
I think i have seen it somewhere, hmm....
2008-07-12 19:50:37
It's always easy to relate everything with bad luck only....
Every week :(
Something must be wrong, but Sokker does strange things to the strikers...so why use 3? :)

Anyways, next week Tunis will be kicked out of the stadium with 20 goals :)

When 1 is enough ;D

I have a dumb newbie question about the tactic used this week.

Isn't it going to wear Omar out, running him all the way left and right across the field like that? I seem to recall something in the rules about players wearing out both due to their stamina level and the amount of running they do in a match...
