Thanks. :) I've never paid much attention to the rankings, but now that it's on the club page it's hard not to notice.
Friendlies are included in the ranking formula, though with much reduced weight compared to other matches. (There's been some discussion that maybe they carry too much weight.) Since I carry older trainees, I have a pretty competitive B-squad - my ranking is likely a little overdone because of my record in friendlies.

if you like older trainees then buy some of my guys, for 5 up right now =P
Heehee. Would they help me maintain my ranking? :)

You know that this is not true?
The ranking formula does not distinguish between friendly or league match.

I was told it was the same formula for NTs and for club teams.
For NTs, official matches (WC qualifying and WC) have more weight then friendlies. At least that's always been my observation.
So which one of those premises is false? :)

That's not correct I think. There is one formula for calculating the points and it doens't make a difference between official games and friendlies.
Seems to be the consensus. :)
Like I said, I never paid much attention to my club ranking. But I have paid a lot of attention to NT rankings. It really seemed to me that official matches had more influence.
*Sigh* Still learning after all this time. :D

That's what makes this game still interesting after many seasons :)

It is easy to get confused. When I heard the rankings used Elo, I assumed Sokker Elo, which does weight the importance of matches (and was consistent with what I thought I was seeing for the NTs).
