Subject: World Cup Draw

Canada was drawn in group B with Romania (ranked9th), Chech Republic (11th.) and Turkey (24th.)

I think it's not the worst and not the best outcome. We avoided the top 5, but got drawn with countries that are in top 5 as far as active users go :)...Romania - 5491, Turkey - 2637 and Chech - 1630 :)))

Canada - Turkey (week 4)
Canada - Romania (week 5)
Chech Republic - Canada (week 6)

This is our schedule...maybe the home field advantage will help us :)))

I've always thought it was weird the #4 team gets two home games. :)

Not a bad draw really. The field for this WC is clearly the deepest and strongest ever. Even the weak groups don't look all that week.

Turkey has been a rising power for a number of seasons (due to their numbers), but Canada can certainly play with them. Romania has a great squad, but the Swiss (whom I rate only a little better then Canada) wrested the qualifying group from them. Czech Republic is an under-rated team - better then some give them credit for. But still they aren't a bad draw for #1. (They have a wicked winger that really impressed me in qualifying - though his name escapes me at the moment :P).

I think Canada could fight back against this team and maybe qualify
