Subject: Should I sell or not?

I got a bit of a problem here and I'd like some advices.
My big forward Stolarz is currently 28 and in his prime. I know (believe?!?) that if I selll him, I will still got a decent amount for him, I could get even more than I paid for him in the first place because I trained him a bit in tech and pace.
So the big question, should I let him go or should I keep him for the rest of his playing days? Does huge 28YO players still get some decent price on the market? Or have I allready pass the point where I will sell him and loose money?

Looks like you bought him at age 25 for $10M. I would guess you might get up to $8M back for him at age 28? Hard to say - he's in a pretty exclusive bracket so you're limited to a select group of buyers who can afford that kind of bread for an 'older' player!
Probably best to send out an advisory that he will be available for any serious offers. But you should probably list what you would let him go for. You're gonna get asked that anyway!! If you don't get any bites, keep him - he'll give you at least a couple more good seasons...

Even if his skills are up some from where you bought him, I can't see how you will avoid losing money. There's some significant depreciation between 25 and 28. It's hard to put enough skill on to make up for that.
Managers in the market for older players are looking for instant performance or a bargain (likely both). Means that older players need to be in good form when they are sold.
Stolarz is currently in strong form. If you are going to sell, I'd do so in the next week or two. If you wait too long you run this risk his form may slip which I think would really hurt his price.
The caveat is the connectivity problems lately. Some sales have been affected. If you list you should consider a reserve price.
I think you have distilled the decision well. It's sell now or buy him a burial plot out behind the stadium. Not easy. Good luck. :)

Thx for the advices, I will advertise him a bit and see if I can get some interess for him.
you'll definately attract some interest with a player like that!
very nice skills for a striker...
I'm not sure you'll get 10mil for him though
drop him on the valuation forum, it usually give you an accurate ball park...
