Yep, his talent is exactly 5 weeks. I got him as a Good/18 weeks, and he came up as Formid +2. (I won't list any player with talent greater than 5 weeks in the Transfers Forum).

I've been thinking alot about Mubarek. I could turn him into a decent striker. But I think he looks more promising as a mid or defender - meaning he should be sold.

Does everyone agree with that?

Put him on the TL dude, his skills are not bad, and he's young. If you don't get at 50 000 for him I will quit playing sokker immediately..... :)

True, true! Gorra hand it you guys - I would have fired him! I havn't had much luck in the past with guys who had nothing much in the way of primary skills. But he did have a head start with the secondary skills and the 5 wk talent....

Speaking of 5 week talent, I have a pull coming in two weeks who's 5-week talent with an excellent junior coach. What does that translate into in terms of "standard" talent? (What is standard anyway? Brilliant junior coach? Unearthly?)

Got a nice price for Mubarek, but more importantly (from Team Canada's perspective) it appears he's landed with a defense trainer. I think we're shorter on defenders then strikers. So it looks like selling was the right decision.

Good question! The rules provide only the vague qualitative guideline: 'the higher the coach's appraisal, the quicker a junior will improve'. So we're left to guess how much faster with the higher appraisal? I have a gut feeling that a Magical coach will cut pop time by about one week over your Excellent.

When I started, I used to quote weeks and Coach level. But I soon noticed that most players just quote weeks, so that's all I do now. Since your coach is relatively low in appraisal, you should probably mention that.
Five weeks talent with only Exc. coach is impressive! You have a good one there. :)
