__________vs__________

Tomorrow is our first game versus Cymru (Wales). Nation with only 24 users but they have a pretty nice young squad.

The most popular sports in Wales are rugby union and football (soccer). As in New Zealand, rugby is a core part of the national identity, although football has traditionally been more popular sport in the North Wales, possibly due to its close proximity to England's north-west. Wales has its own governing bodies in rugby, the Welsh Rugby Union and in football, the Football Association of Wales (the third oldest in the world) and most other sports.
Wales has had its own football league since 1992 although, for historical reasons, two Welsh clubs (Cardiff City, and Swansea City) play in the English Football League and another four Welsh clubs in its feeder leagues. (Wrexham, Newport County, Merthyr Tydfil, and Colwyn Bay.)

Thank you bro.

It is always nice to start with a win a well deserved one indeed.

Good luck in future games Matt.

Congratulations on the win

I don't have the skills of the other players, but I was expecting to see Gusberti more in a defensive position due to his defensive skill (or at least more defensive than Mac Millan) but I suppose that he could play in offense as well.

Congrats on a nice result. :) I thought the 3-some of MacMillan, Gusberti and Lightfoot moved the ball around quite well. Leopold took his chances well. Second goal was a cracker!

Didn't learn much about our defense today, which is probably the biggest question mark. I'm sure the boys at the back will get a chance to shine sometime soon.

I'm can't say I'm a big fan of our kit. Maybe it's because I'm a bit of a traditionalist. :) Fuschia isn't really working for me - better colour for prom dresses.

Yup our defence is the biggest hole in our team. There is not many skilled players at this position and then there is form, stamina issue on top of that. Btw they played quite good today. Our MID-s moved the ball very well and we outplayed them on this part. I moved Gusberti to the offence because of his passing abilities and he made me very proud :)

As for the kit, I wanted to experiment some new colours but this one didn't work for me either. I want something different then our traditional ones. Maybe we can have a pool about that issue, what do the other managers think, please get involved.

I would like to get more coments about our game, team, players, tactics whatever you have in mind, good or bad just post it or sk-mail.

There is still open spot for the second week, El Salvador joined some tournament and wont play us week 2. Suomi offered to play but they are too strong and I asked them to play U-20 but they refused but instead they want to play with 5 U-21 and 6 U-20 but they are still strong. On the other hand I asked Singapore for the game but no answer yet. Not much time, what do you guys think? To go with strong Suomi or wait for somebody else?

What is right mix for you?

Good job Slavko, I thought that maybe you played a little more defensively than needed against Wales, but it turned out great. Everything seemed organized on the field, I was surprised to see Caraiman take a corner kick at one point :))

Now the kit is white and blue.

You do realize you are managing Team Canada? :)
