So preliminaries starting this friday with a game vc Srbija our strongest opponent in the group. We lost 1-4 in the friendly last season. Only thing is to try not to lose with big goal differential.

Very close game, it could have been tie if there was not a keeper mistake. Anyway a very good result what I was hoped for a lose with not a big goal differential. Tactic worked very well, to tell you the truth I worked on it all week :)

Today's game vs Nigeria is a must win game with as high as possible goal differential.

Nigeria has only 69 users. Their best player might be a striker Ajibola Ogungbure. They won its first group game against Cameroun who is weakest in the group.

5-0 is a nice result sure I have expected a little more but maybe next time. We suffered 2 bad injuries luckily there is a friendly next week.

Grats on the win! Nigeria is a little under-powered relative to Canada, but still a very dominate performance ... margin could easily have been greater.

Nigeria's tactic seemed a little quirky. There were a couple of mids that I figure ran the equivalent of a half-marathon with all their switches and criss-crossing. Don't really see the benefit.

I must admit I haven't been following Canada's U21 group very closely, and hadn't watched the Latvian side before this morning. I wasn't expecting that much fight from them. They have a nice little squad and played a very strong tactic today. Canada didn't have enough width in the attack to take advantage of Lativa's narrow defense. Canada's defensive positioning was a little porous (or rather, Latvia's offensive positioning was excellent).

Anyway, a good try. Will get back on track against Cameroon next week, and certainly sets up the Colombia match in two weeks as an important one.

Tactic is not always the thing we can blame, our U-21 squad is very weak compare to Latvija or most of the world. I am trying to do the best with the squad we have and believe me it is not that easy with this limited U-21 squad we have. If we just have a team from last season it would have been easy, much easier.
Anyway thank you Seca, I would love to hear more comments.
