Subject: Going All Canadian

My team seems to have moved far ahead of the other CPL team. Just based on average value my team is twice the value of the other CPL teams. Not sure how that happened so quickly, I seem to remember several teams being over a million a couple of seasons ago, but with DB going bot and getting old, B&O quitting and Seca stripping his team down, I guess it isn't too hard to imagine how. This could get boring for everyone including myself real quick! So I am beginning a process of replacing then selling off all of my foreign players and replacing them with Canadians. Hopefully this should scale my team back a bit.

Right now I am looking for a young keeper so that I can sell Severjins. If anyone has one that they plan to sell soon, let me know. The hardest position to fill will be in the defensive midfield, I will pay a premium for a young mid with potential there, as I will be training defender and passing before the season is out if Ellison keeps popping like he has :)

I have 4 good youth pulls this week. One of them is brilliant! So, there probably will be a keeper.
As you are training keeper you will need a "fully trained" defensive midfielder, right?
And most of us dont have plus....so if you could paste those stats in the forum in would be appreciated.

keeper training is fast, with an 18 yo that is as talented as Ellison I am expecting a pop every 1.5 weeks, maybe every week. I am only taking him to brilliant/magical, he is already formidable so it should take 6-8 weeks I hope, then I was going to fill the rest of this season with passing - for the keeper too and a few weeks of def training at the end of the year, next year may be a bit more keeper during the cup if he doesn't progress as fast as I hope, then mostly defender and pace

I don't train like normal folks, thats why I have NT players at every position :)

Now as for Verville, that is very interesting, if you plan on selling him let me know and I will unload Czero so that I have a big enough bank account, I have coveted him for a loooong time :)

I am making faster progress than I had thought, there have been quite a few descent Canadians out there this week. Here are some of the guys I was able to pick up and their 'home' teams

So the rest of the foreign players on my team have been listed, Mui refused to be listed, but his day will come, bwa ha ha

This weeks league match I will be playing with an all Canadian lineup.

I am looking for a winger, and a midfielder with high play-making skill, doesn't have to be great at other things, but should be well rounded

Also looking for young defenders, and one more quality defender

I have finished my "Going all Estonian" - however I can`t sell one Icelandic player I have. Trained him for 10 season from nil to a star. He will die in my team. Other than that - I have all locals and I am doing very well. Another positive thing - I have 390 000 000 $ just lying on my account and nothing to do with it:)

My team used to be all Canadian, but I stopped a couple of seasons ago and started buying non Canadians. Still my trainees are all Canadians and I want to keep them that way

Going all Canadian is something I'd advise against for most managers. Unless you train pace, it means potentially useful Canadian players are going without training.

Training all-Canadian - that's really admirable. Hats off to those managers - they really have their hearts in the right place. :D

Brennan and Ramalho will get follow up training, once 'the Razor' is sharp enough, though I am thinking more and more that I may just hold off on his keeper training after the next pop and focus on defender (4-6 weeks or so) and then passing training for the rest of the year (that way I am training both Razor and the new arrivals - in what they need most), then back to keeper for the cup run, and then after that it is lots and lots of pace training. So they may lose a bit of training due to the keeper training, but they will still get trained up till they are 26, which is more than they probably would have gotten if they weren't with my team :)
