i know it's week 2 of the season but,
i didn't see a place to post interesting league results,
so here we can talk about Canadian league matches...
so far for me this season, a bit of an upset, beating Fc RAD 3-1
same tactics as in my recent cup match this time leading 3-0 before conceding a goal
hattrick by Jaco Mumia (8 goals so far in all competitions)
6 points in III.04, taking 1st position
next match will be vital to take control of the table for a chunk of the season

does anyone know if there is a home advantage to sokker? (in all match types)
and what that advantage is if there is one?
and what that advantage is if there is one?
I honestly don't think there is any advantage playing at home in SK. If there is, it's masked by the random effect. If the teams are close, either can win whether home or away.
And the crowd noise is exactly the same ! Unless you turn up the volume when you're at home ;)

Ever since I downloaded the full version of sokker manager, and used the line-up suggestion , I haven't won a game, and have been outscored 14-1 in three matches.
Not fun when there is barely anything to do most days with this game......

i use sokker organizer to look at weekly pops... not that it should matter what program to use; the program won't make your team better...
my managerial advice is to you:
- buy players, i see that you only have 1 international player, i only kept 2 of my original player, the rest sacked or traded, for now you should be looking for solid+ skills with multiple skills, assess what good players you have and what you need to replace
-look at training, find a coach with main skill incredible or above, wage not more than 15k
you shouldn't give up, you've been playing for 2 months, success hasn't come to me until recently because sokker is a complex game, it takes time to adjust to.
i've been playing since march 2009...
your last game was a tough loss, you should look at some tactical changes...
seek wisdom, ask questions...

I am not expert with tactics, but I can see there is a problem there
For example you DEF: 2 are too wide and the other are not in the same line)
Also I think you MIDs have not enough PASS to play so wide (a lot of passes are going to finish out)
Remember that you team is new and most players are not great and may be a good idea try to avoid having them too far and try not to make them run too much.
PS: As for help in the newbie forum or here and there is always people trying to help.

hmmm...
i looked at your squad and see that there is potential for 4 players,
only looking from player value and stars;
look at your last match; keep the keeper, two mids that played 35's and the one attacker that played 30 rating; the rest consider slowly replacing....
just my opinion though...:)

Thanks for all the advice.
I'm not giving up. I seem to log in a couple times a day, stare at all the pages, and forum threads, and then sign out. Not really sure what to do after I sign in, as financially I lose money most weeks (not much, but losing some), so I can't really hire better players, or coaches. The international goalie was a $10 steal (so to speak), other than that, I have to watch my spending. The junior development seems to fluctuate too much....one day a junior has potential of solid, the next day, tragic (makes little sense.) Thus, not sure what to do there.
I check the forums often, although the Canadian forums seem quiet. I'd post more in newbie, but, as mentioned, I'm not sure what to really start with.
I'll keep plugging away......
