How do those whom have played Sokker for quite a while maintain their interest in the game?
I'm finding it to be less and less interesting as I log in everyday. I do the same two minutes of looking, and then sign out.
Any suggestions?

How are you spending your "two minutes of looking", out of curiosity? Looking at what?
To me, the killer app of Sokker is the match viewer. I make time almost every Sunday and Wednesday just to watch my boys play. I have yet to find another Internet game with a feature to match this one.
Other than that, well, you have to enjoy managing a team, developing your players and your coaching staff and your juniors and your stadium and ... if that doesn't appeal to you, maybe a team-management game isn't the game for you.

for me it has always been that this is my team
I don't have TV, and when I started playing seeing a match was difficult, seeing one team enough to really become a fan was impossible
so I am a fan of my team and it's players and the other players that I have played against alot, Amado, Monohar, the bloody Romanian... :)
But I have still struggled at times to maintain interest, so I switched to all Canadians, which spiced things up, and trained at all positions, with a lot of luck, I have basically had a great team handed to me by my youth school, so I almost feel like I have to enjoy it while it lasts!
I figure that once this team has faded in a few seasons and Fichaud and company are retiring I will lose interest
or I will just yearn after the good old days while I toil away in the second division, lol

I was pretty hardcore for an extended time. I'm much more casual now.
Interest ebbs and flows. There are weeks when the only matches I watch are NT matches. There are other weeks when I'm watching everything live, and watching some matches multiple times for nuances.
There are things you can do to spark some interest. Try to groom an NT player. Experiment with radical tactics. Set goals w/r to team ratings or promotion or money earned.
The new junior league is a unique challenge. Trying to maximize a line-up with regular turnover based purely on observation is a new experience. Trying to build a tactic that 11 hacks can execute is also a bit of a task.
I've played over a dozen sports management games for extended periods. The only one I've stuck with is Sokker. With high speed internet and all the other stuff that's out there, I think it's a little tough for browser-based stuff to compete sometimes. But the package that is Sokker remains compelling ... to me anyway. :)

It helps if there is a good community spirit in your country too.
Nobody posts on the NZ boards anymore except for NT/U21/Junior related stuff. It doesn't feel competitive anymore, I'm just playing x team and y team. There are no new teams coming through the ranks of note - just look at the Cup, where the semi-finalists were the same as last season. Quite a few of the older managers have gone inactive or rarely login.
A few months ago I even stopped watching my own league matches as I wasn't that interested. Last season I won the Cup and came second in Premier using the same tactic every match. Lineups were pretty much the same every time.
I'll probably keep on playing, if only to keep training the kids for the NT team.

I totally lost the interest. I don't see anything what can keep me playing season after season, always same I mean nothing new. Sokker is a great game don't get me wrong but sorry to say it is boring. It's been the time where I couldn't wait to see my games live or even watch the game after, any game like NT game Valiant, Partizan, DBR to name a few but now I don't watch my game at all.
I don't know, it is not the time what could keep me off the game, I have the time but my interest is way off.
I just don't know what to do??????????????????????

i see a common theme here...
not enough people
in countries with about a 100 or less people the number of divisions are small
and you feel like you've achieved your potential- it does get boring if your not moving up or if you can't achieve more...
i felt like this in hattrick and if i didn't find sokker i might have stopped playing these manager games completely...
i would look for something different or just take a break because
no interest = no passion
no point doing something you don't feel a passion for
