This is a scientific poll of the Canadian community to gauge support for an expanded CPL.
I dont have a strong opinion, but I will note that New West Stampedoes, Bonavista, Snowhares and HL Football all have perfect records in the second divisions and ratings and club history worthy of Premier League status. (And I dont want to relegate.)

how would this expansion work?

How wouldnt it work? It is a great idea whose time has come.
We have a bigger/larger/more teams/expanded/enlarged/grown CPL!

so more than 8 teams in CPL?

i get the idea but the way it should be implemented is vague and should be explained further.

Honestly, the real point of this post is to highlight the quality of the leaders in division ii, Canada. I have no realistic expectations for an expansion of the CPL:(

there should be some tough teams in div II as there are only three tiers to the canadian system...

i hope to be in div II in a season or two :)

I see where you're coming from on this issue #1. In this season at least, all four div.II leaders have almost embarrassing leads in their leagues, and frankly, it is no more fun for the leaders than it is for the teams we play, especially through the middle of the schedule, where it would be a major upset if we were to lose or even tie.

I think you are right that in the sparsely populated Canadian SK system, a CPL with 12 teams for example, might encourage teams to promote where they could at least win a few matches and be closer to the middle than the basement. From experience, it's no fun knowing you will stay close to the bottom and have little chance of upsetting anyone week to week in an 8 team CPL.

But...it won't change, and perhaps it can't change, because the entire SK game worldwide is based on 8 team leagues, and the logistics of changing this for a few 'small user' countries like ourselves, would be daunting and troublesome and just 'not worth the effort' for the organizers. I can see their point too, but I do like your constructive thoughts on how the game might be changed to maintain our interest....

I don't mind the way it is now. I am interested only in training Canadian players

The game has a problem.
You can not develop your team in about 5-6 seasons to fight with everyone with good chances and that sucks. That's why I like more hattrick. In 4 seasons I was able there to put a team to win against everybody. Here you don't stand a chance even in 8-10 seasons you can't beat the best teams.

You are very wrong there my friend, I won the 2.03 league in my second season there ( and only my 3rd season playing the game), beating much much stronger teams than mine. All by doing a lot of scouting and using smart tactics. That is the advantage of this game over all other online managers. Understanding how match engine works and utilizing your player skills to the maximum is what set's apart good managers and the not so good in this game IMO. Also being smart with your money and having the right training program helps :))

The reason I can not beat the big teams is mostly that I don't want to spend the time bothering too much with my tactics or scouting. In Hattrick I couldn't beat the teams in higher leagues because it was all about players, here you need players but you need tactics. You beat me in the cup and I am sure my players were better :D.

I can't find the game. Do you have a link or something?
I saw just a friendly in my first season of sokker when you beat me 16-0 :)

I seem to have the same problem.
My team ratings are usually higher than my opponents and get out-shot and sometimes outscored.
Suck at tactics thus do my team injustice.

It wasn't you, sorry

My average mark is higher, the shooting, passing and defending is higher but he won mostly because of a better tactic (and probably faster players as well)
