I´d like to offer my services to be your U21 National Team Manager

I will start with some information about me...

My name is John, i´m from Venezuela, I´m 28 years old. I work in web designs, graphic designs and other stuffs. Also I near to complete a degreed in system engineer.

My experience in the game:

I was Venezuelan National Team manager for 3 seasons, and currently Ecuador´s National Team manager for 1 season. In my 3 seasons with Venezuela we played the friendly matches with some U21 players that now are the strong points of the current NT.

In the two WCQ that I played, unfortunally I didn´t make Venezuela get qualified to the WC. In my first chance we finished 3th but we missed the best 3th place for a lot of goals diference. In my second chance we finished 3th again, with a tie points with Hungary wich was second in the table but for goal diference we took the 3th position of the table and we didnt qualified for less than 8 goals. We was so close to qualified in both chances.

With Ecuador I just played friendly matches in a not really big cup that ecuador´s users wanted to played. My goal with them was to improve Ecuador´s rank the best I possible can.

With my team I dont have a impressive record. Just one 1st divition title and 2 National Cups. But everyone in my community knows about my team and fears to face me hehe 

Some seasons ago, I built a trainning program in Venezuela named “Venezuelan Youth Project” were we took an universe of around 50 – 60 players per season and make it train with any team that have the money, the coaches and the motivation. The results was really great, the users get a lot of motivation to open the youth schools and train their youths. Of course that not all of them made the expected result but many players that now are key players in the Venezuelan NT starts training in this project.

About my goals?

My goal with the U21 national team will be to build the team for the future. The U21 now is the base of the Absolute NT (Wisdom tought :P). Canada is a strong team at senior levels but the U21 isn´t good ranked. Isn´t that strong that senior, of course we don´t expect to have the same levels but we expect that its name itself will fear anyone. The last qualifies of Canada was in a strong group and I think in another group Canada probably will make the qualifications. The main goal is to take advantage of a friendly season and work of a base of 19 – 20 year old players that can play the next qualifies and go for it to the next U21WC.

A monitoring program has to be build to make a scouting job to look for the best youngs that could be traing by the best teams and the teams that have the resources and the motivation. It doesnt matter if too few teams starts trainning those players, the motivation will join more teams to this program, I garantee.
Starting with players age of 16, 17 and only the best of 18 players. In that way I think Canada could have a really strong U21 team with the time and of course can continue having a strong senior team if we dedicated to traing promise players really well.
This plan it just work with the help of the canadian comunity and the foreing user that wanna join us. But toghter this job can be done.


My way of play

Every team plays diferent because they face diferent opponents (another wisdom tought :P). But I think the main base should be the defense. Of course, you can be offensive but with a strong defense that can save your back anytime.
My style will depend on the players I could have and of course, is to obtain the best results for us. Because the main idea is to build the NT for many seasons to come.


What I know about Canadian U21?

Only a fool will say Canada is a weak team just for see the last qualified table but the true is that Canada is not a potential right now. I think the most important failure of Canada in the last WCQ was the bad luck and a repetetive use of tactics that makes you really predictible against your rivals. I will not say any names of key players because in this time it doesnt matter. The actual 21 year old players doesnt matter right now and the current 20 years old players can´t play the next WCQ because they would have 22 years old. So my mission is to take only those players that can play the next WCQ and prepare them for the future. Is kind of scouting job but someone has to lead this and I consider myself cause I do have the experience to make this job well done.

So, this is my speech, this is my plan. I hope you choose wise your next U21 coach.
I will answer all your questions without problem for any doubs.

If you play only 19 yo we are going to loose lots of ranking points and have much more difficult rivals.

I didnt explain that point really well.

Not the 11 players in the field will be 19 years. That will be hard unless you all have promises well formed.
Of course its going to be 21 years old players in the field to get stronger lines during the match. But you will see in action 19 and 20 years old players because I will give importance to them. Canada can´t loose more ranking points but we can get a mixt of those 19 and 20 years players with the 21 year old players to fill the lines and doesnt be weak in the games.

Besides, some or many NT´s will play with this characteristics too because is a friendly season for those who didnt qualified. And others managers wants to prepare their youngs too to the next WCQ.

Im not gonna play a friendly with 19years old players if my rival will play with their senior U21, Im not that kind of mad

I think that u21 scouting is a tough job and requires help from everybody with young Canadian players. Would you create and monitor a forum for u21 potential players?

We could use the Canadian association forum here for that, I don't think most people is going to visit another forum.

A non-Canadian manager would not have access to that forum.

and of course, is a hard job to scouting U21 players but you see the point I mean. The job can work if canadian users help me. We got an excellent tool that can help us a lot wich is the dream team web and we can open threads in the canadian forum about the youngs weekly promoted by scales. Could be for very good pulls, + formidable pulls, etc. And of course we can open a thread about the good players and promises that are currently being trained to watch how many pops they have during the season without showing the skills.
We can set some numeric scale to watch their pops and the award of the best players should be the satisfaction of help your NT, that makes your team more valuable and of course, for the users of lowest divitions, this can mean the pleasure of have an NT player wich is a lot in that divitions.
in fact, in Venezuela happend... an user of the 5th or 4th divition trained really well a good keeper and he won the prize of watch an NT match with his keeper playing. Now, that keeper is the second keeper of Venezuelan NT. Im sure those are kind of reward that makes you pride.

So, yes... I can monitor the canadian potentials and everybody can see what are we doing keeping the skills in secret and hope to more and more users can join us in this project.

some seasons ago when I opened the Venezuelan Association forum I recieved some request of foreing users. In that time you can accept it or reject it. I dont know if that changed but in any case, I think the best place is the canadian forum itself. That will ensure that a non canadian manager have the propper access

I was making some kind of scouting job the last couple of days using the dream team web or the ultimate scouting tool, and to give some words about what I see I´m waiting for any answer by the owners of the players I asked

btw, I like to know if the current staff has any requirements for the U21

near to close the elections. I hope to the best for Canada. If I dont win tonight it will be ok because I want to stay in the community and give any hand to Canada.
