lol I should have trained strikers....

Indeed. MacIlvora, Choquet, Garnet ... Would have been quite a trio.

Unlike other manager games, I find in Sokker your youth can really lead your training program. I had few thoughts of training strikers before I pulled Amado.

But there is something to be said for getting your youth out on the market. The money you get from these resales is pretty good. You'll probably get more cash from the sale of Garnet then from your league match this week. :)

Hopefully they all get resaled more often ;)

& yes your right the youths in sokker can/could easily dictate your training regime. That's how I started defenders. Lamo & Musa where my best youngest players. Mind you Lamo did have his scoring abilitie too.

Dion and Gibson were released from the NT today. Both were older midfielders who (IMO) had reached the pinacle of their ability and were still down the depth chart.

Estonia beat Italy in WC wow
2007-01-13 17:30:32
I watched the match, and have never seen the Italians play so poorly. It wasn't tactical - their ball control deserted them.

Especially Gioia. I read on the Italian forum he has unearthly technique (my Italian isn't great, so I could be mistaken :P). Watching this game, I'd swear it was no better then solid. He was awful.

Lietuva 1 : 4 España
I feel sorry for Lietuva. They have been better all the time but couldn't finish. Spain got lucky by the terrible mistake from Lietuva defence and scored in the first half which was the only shoot from the Spain in first btw. It went all the way to the penalty shootout and like I said Lietuva just can't finish.

Lithuania seems to have some Canada-esque luck. They were the dominant team last week against Romania, and just managed to squeak past in extra time. They had (by far) more quality scoring opportunities in the Spain match, but just couldn't finish despite achieving an excellent shooting rating.

I feel their pain. :)

The unofficial U21 World Cup is starting to feel like the WC we just came through.

B. Laforest injured Saturday. Lavrynenko and Canizalez both took 14 day knocks today. All 3 would have been starters Saturday. :S

Said Lamontagne (midfielder) has been released from the NT.
2007-01-15 22:50:24
Idi Mahoney added to the NT. 21 year old versatile midfielder who is one of Ben's Eleven.

Strangely enough B.Laforest is already just slightly injured. So you might be able to insert him into Saturday's game.

He was 9 days on Saturday, so should have gone SI today. Leaves him SI + 1 or 2 for BiH.

There is a 1 week break between the U21 qualifications, and the U21 group stage. This is next week. I've arranged to play Scotland.

My preference would be a senior squad game. Our senior squad hasn't played much, and I don't want to risk injuries to U21s the week before groups start. But I'm still arranging the ground rules with Dandy.

Edit: confirmed, senior squads will play.

Addition to the roster: Charles-Antoine Holden. 20 year old defender, playing in Poland. Hensall Athletic academy grad.

No immediate plans to use him - with injuries to Laforest and McGhee, I wanted a little more depth at the back.
