Couple of knocks Sunday. The important one being a 31 day bashing on Manohar, which does him in for the rest of the unofficial U21 WC.

OMG 31 days. I can't belive it, nobody even touch him he just wanted to shot the ball and got 31 days.

Focussing on the U21s, the form update was pretty good. Actually, most of the U21s have awesome form right now. Wang, Renda and the back-up keepers are the only laggards.

Have arranged a friendly with South Africa for the 17th of March.

Augh. More bad news for the NT.

Tim Choquet's team has gone bot. Means our most talented young striker is now not being trained. The team is in Poland V - I'm not sure how long it will take for it to be replaced.

The team would have to drop 2 levels I think for the team to get taken over.

Realistically by then he won't be much good.

Thanks. I figured it would be a while.

I didn't forsee this happening, otherwise I would have purchased him the last time he was listed.

:( That news on Choquet sucks. Now I'm really upset that I'm not training strikers. He was my most talented youth.

Is there no way of letting go from his current team other than waiting?

There is no "release" of NT players as in the oHTer game. Every month or so an NT coach starts a thread in the Bugs & Ideas forum suggesting such a change.

I actually don't mind the current rule, though it has a much more significant impact on smaller nations that have restricted talent pools.

One of our U21 defenders is TL'd. He's dressed as a sub a couple of times, but hasn't been capped yet (partly because his owner wouldn't give updates).

He's amoung our best 20 year old defenders (along with Dehere, Malhotra) and would almost certainly see U21 action next season. (Though next season is likely to be a light U21 season with WC qualifications occuring).

Good Sunday & Monday for the U21s. No injuries on game day, and a good form update today. Most held, Wang ticked up a little. Faria and Renda still struggling.

Our string of poor results has now dropped us to 19th in the Sokker rankings. If they draw up qualification groups like in the past, top 20 will get us a second seed. And there is a nice cushion between 20 and 21.

But it sure would be nice if we could turn things around.
