Our string of poor results has now dropped us to 19th in the Sokker rankings. If they draw up qualification groups like in the past, top 20 will get us a second seed. And there is a nice cushion between 20 and 21.

But it sure would be nice if we could turn things around.

Hard to think of an NT player having a tougher season then Mayard - now out for the 3rd time with injury. With the U21 still going, this one won't cost him any caps.

At one time he was a fairly hot prospect, but inconsistent training has allowed the likes of Wang and Fortner to surpass him.

I have worries about the longevity of his club. Getting him a cap this weekend will get him on the TL if his squad does go bot.

Little FYI.

Several managers of our U21 players have received messages with offers to buy those players provided the skills are disclosed.

Could be genuine. Could also be an attempt at scouting.

It doesn't matter to me how you respond. I have no interest in selling Wang, so I gave a flat "no". If I had been interested, I probably would have said something like "Sure. Will send the skills after Saturday's NT match." I have no problems if you want to send your player's skills and see an offer. It's your player. And like I said, it could be genuine.

I got an offer like that for Manohar while ago and I gave a flat "no" lol like you Seca. I wouldn't even thought that this might have been scouting.

I got 3 offers from Caron from the same person.

Probably they were something like this:

"i am looking for nice MID can U send me skills of iginla please"

This came from a daytrader though, so I think he was just interested in buying Iginla cheap. I had to tell him few times that Iggy is not available, until he gave up :)

Alot of these are genuine. There are lots of teams that would pay handsomely for a Caron or an Iginla.

I get a little suspicious when there are a flurry of offers for different players all at once from the same user. Especially when there is an important (or in this case, semi-important) match on the horizon. :)

The Caron offer may be genuine, but after I said he is not on sale he kept asking for skills

Tough week for the U21s.

Fortner took a knock (questionable).
Malhotra took a knock (questionable).
Renda took a knock (out).

Renda was injured by another national team member, Kareem Laforest. I think he was feeling threatened that Renda was going to take his place on the national squad.
