Heehee. It's a group where any team could beat any other, and it wouldn't be a monstrous upset. The skill level of the players is close enough that tactics and luck will matter - that's really all you can ask for, especially out of the 4th basket.

What I fear at most is Suomi, hopefully you will do better then I did against them.

Group C is definitely the most straight forward to predict. Can't see it being anyone other than France and Poland in that one.

Going out on a limb there. :)

D & E also likely see 1 & 2 through. Three teams in the running in A. With B, F, G & H all 4 teams have a reasonable shot.

NT Milestones - Slovensko

Zach Sebrango - 10th cap

I strongly believe that Canada can make a lot of noise at this world cup, that would be great for such a small sokker nation, anyways when does it start?

Week 4 vs. Germany.

Plan this coming week will be to play a friendly where we can get some of our 2 yellow card players in - perhaps clean their slate before the tournament. Any players on 1 card will not play (don't want them picking up their second). In week 3 no players will suit up who might be in the line-up against Germany.

It could be an exciting World Cup. Our group looks really interesting. Any two of the four teams could go through.

As I was trying to negotiate some matches, we received a challenge from Viet Nam. With the weirdness surrounding the election, I thought it best to book a match.

No arrangements have been made. I'd like to get Wyn Lavrynenko and O'Hara out there if I could (both on 2 yellow cards). Otherwise, I'd be looking to get some of our youth involved.

Charles-Antoine Holden is on the TL. He hasn't been capped much, but that's had a lot to do with poor form. I consider him a promising player. Ideally he'd get some PM and pace where he lands.

cool
2008-02-21 19:40:58
It looks like Harman will fit right in with our striker corps - 2 goals on 20 shots Wednesday. :D

(JK - looks like he normally does much better).
2008-02-21 19:49:49
He can do much better then that. It wasn't his day this past wednesday.
2008-02-21 21:18:00
I was just joking. I'm optimistic he will do well. :)

Another call-up.

Eduardo Vafir, 21 yrs, Partizan 74 - offensive mid

Domingo Lamo, NT defender, is transfer listed (tho I strongly recommend reading his season summary before bidding).
