Subject: U21 Match Expectations

I know the site now has fans' expectations but that doesn't really matter (lol) so...
I want to know what you guys expect! It would be awesome if, before each match, Canadians could post whether they are expecting a win or draw or loss and if it should be a big win, etc.
This way I will know what is expected of me before each match and hopefully get more users involved in the NT's. I will also post a few things before the match, maybe about tactics or players, not sure yet :)

Anyways, this is kind of late for this game since the game is in about 20 hours (i think) but anyways here it is

Canada U21 vs Slovenija U21
Well I spent a while making a new tactic, then went to set it and realized there was a seperate area for NT tactics, so i had to copy it to there lol. Today i realized i wanted to do something else, so right after this i will be making a new tactic :) (i will be using the first tactic next match i think)
Also, a nice fellow sent me a great def mid's skills today, the older brother of winger Joey Zaharijja.

We expect a win. The bigger the better.

I hope all the players finish healthy, and I am expecting a win.

I didn't know Joey Zaharijja has a brother :D

tough loss today. it wasnt the right tactic for the day:(
we will come back stronger next week.

sorry guys i let you down. I played 2 DCM because their ACM is a beast and our DCM's are one of our strongest points but it didn't really work. Also played our ACM too close to the strikers since they rely on speed. The silver lining is that our avg marks are right up there with Mexico and Germany. Next Match will be better

edit:just watched the replay and can't believe Cockburn missed an empty net from 2 feet out

maybe you could have played with a 3 men defence and be so a little more offensive, because the tactic of your opponent is the same from several matches and he has always used only 1 striker.

btw, don't worry! next match will go better! ;)

i didnt really look at the earlier matches because it's a new coach and i looked at his tactics and he usually plays 4-4-2...i didn't think he'd use the old coach's tactics

he's new? ah..i didn't know! maybe he didn't have time to crate a new tactic and so he uuse the hold one!

btw, don't worry, the first match is the most difficult..the next i'm sure will go better! hold on! ;)

Pilipinas U21 vs Canada U21

Mostly the same lineup as last game with a few changes. Made a more offensive tactic but it will still be 442, mostly because we dont have much striker depth compared to midfield and i dont want to play with less than 4 defence, especially since Pilipinas strength is their strikers and wingers. They had a great first match, beating Al Maghrib 3-2, but that's where the streak ends :)
My goal for this match is to win by at least 3 goals.

...and once again Cockburn couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Our best shot was closer to half than their 18 yard line, even though we had lots of chances in their 18 yard line...

try to set the strikers higher! ;)

I was just watching the game,on delay. Yeah, it would have been nice if Cockburn could've scored one or two of those sitters. I liked your tactic. Just with throw-ins in the attacking third - you didnt have anyone close enough to receive the ball.
Anyways, a good effort, I thought.

A friendly in Hungary today. If you go to the TV studio you will see that about 15 Hungarians have made score predictions and only 1 Canadian, me.

Death, are we playing our A team, our B team or a youth team?

we are playing U20 + U21 strikers, I don't know why we are using U21 strikers but the coach requested it so I'm guessing they have no good ones or they all have low form. I was going to play some younger strikers anyway but most of them only have good/adequate form. I am trying something new today as a trial for our matches against Mexico and Germany but if it doesn't work I have some other ideas. I was going to try and work on the throw-ins but the tactic is a 4-3-3 so it was kind of hard. Nonetheless I think I have improved upon the throw-ins from my other matches (which isn't that hard lol) Anyways that pretty much sums it up :)

Good game defensively, from both teams. We shut them out in the first half and had a nice goal ourselves just before halftime. Overall, I think that our 3 forwards had a tough time of it; everytime that they recieved the ball there was a defender right behind them that they were turning into.
Throwins were much better.
