you're right, he is a grat player but he will be perfect with one or better two pop on striker! i like him because he has good secondary skills (7 in defence for example) and high technique (1 more than Dehere), and i think that this year he can do a great work in the Under! but in this moment it isn't formed yet. But fortunatelly he needs only a couple of pops! ;)

I can't switch the training to scoring. He will get pace and technique until the end of the season.
The unearthly coach and 3 magical assistants that I recently got, must help him to increase his scoring skill though (from general training). Last pop up in scoring was long ago...

looking our players in the DB i think that Canada loss several great player this year! :S

but also that there are great youths although i see that there isn't a wing! :S

What should I be training?

solid in technique isn't enough for a wing! the most important skills for that position are:
- techinique/passing
- pace (formidable it is already a good level for an u21)
- playmaker (very good or excellent would be perfect)

so i think that training him in tecnique still formidable/outstanding and then two pops in plmkr would make him perfect as a wing! ;)

yes, i think that now with the coming of slides short and fast players will be advantaged!

Even before that, wingers don't really go up for headers very often so height is wasted on them.

yes height is not important; it's better tecnique to stop all the passages that come there to him and , of course, to win against defensors! :)

i decided not to run for elections this turn because this summer i will have little time (i have to graduate on september and so I will spend a lot of time doing my final work), so i prefer to wait for next elections. But also because it wouldn't have any sense to fight against "our" u21 coach after this great qualifications to the WC! :)
