Subject: New Season Predictions and Hopes

The Rainbow Sniffers start off their first season in one of the middle leagues of Canada as the second worst team in the division in terms of player marks. The transition to League II.01 seems to have made the sponsors more free with their money, and the Sniffers weekly income increased to about 240% of what it was before. The Sniffers goal is to finish with at least 12 points in the division, and also to produce some new Canadian talent with the newly re-opened Youth School. Another goal is to not lose by more than 3 goals during the entire season, which will be difficult considering the top 2 teams' average marks are nearly 20 higher than mine :)
lol 4 injuries on my team already, one defenceman, 2 mids and a 17yo trainee i just bought :( I now have 11 players uninjured, and just one mid
The first week of CPL showed some interesting dynamics. Teams like FC Lanciers have stepped up their game while Seca is letting his team flounder. My team, the Real Hawkes have high hopes. I think that we have a good team. Injuries and cards can be random and ruin a promising season. Partizan 74 is the team to beat.
The Voyageurs Cup has gone 2 rounds now and things will begin to become more competitive. It doesnt make sense to lose training to good prospects so my 17 year and 18 year old trainees will play. HL Football probably has the best chance to win the Cup due to his incredible midfield depth.

i feel your pain...two strikers and one mid with the hares. although i have the luxury of buying a new forward (;
I have 4 of my starters out for long injuries. I will be lucky if I can don't go down directly.
Voyageur Cup...one word....yuck!!
11-0 loss. Next year, I would like the option not to play in this confided waste of my time.....

one of my midfielders healed today, but another got injured in my friendly, so I still only have one healthy mid :P
Good start to the season for Warsaw Pact. (my team)
with a 10-4 win over arch rivals FC MUSTANG in the first round
and recently beating Steaua79 2-0 at home in the cup,
getting into the fourth round of the cup is the furthest the team has gotten to date.
now i'm probably going to lose to Hajduk Burnaby (cause of the 20 point average mark difference)
bul it will be smooth sailing against all the bots in my league til' the last round rematch againt mustang
hopefully my team can get into div. 2 next season...

The Rainbow Sniffers started the season off with a bang with 2 wins over what will probably be the only two teams they can beat. The first match saw them win 3-1, but the opposing team recieved two red cards during the match. Their one goal was just unlucky however, as a defender fumbled a midfielder's pass back (I hate when they do that :/) This Sunday's match sees the Sniffers play the league leaders in a battle between first and second, however, both the teams have yet to play the league favorites, and the Sniffers at least will probably finish much lower than second :)
Thanks, you too! A solid win against HL and a draw with Partizan, you have a good chance to win the league and play in the CC :)
This is how my life goes.... After 65 minutes against an opponent with 7 higher marks, I'm doing good, only given up a few okay chances, tied at 0-0, and then they score on a low pass almost from half because my goalie is too slow...now that's annoying.
Ahhh...this game hates me

I actually had better chances despite being outshot, right before half on of my strikers passed back on a breakaway which makes no sense at all since he had ATT orders...and I accidentally switched a mid with a striker at half and the mid missed horribly on a great chance off of a corner.

Also you had a man advantage for 3/4 of the game.
I also played 2 bsquad players due to red cards. :)

Partizan is off to a rather dull start to the year with an early ejection from the VC, and now a devestating loss due to playing the wrong lineup! The fans are displeased, furious actually.
Oh well, I had my eyes on a bit of a rebuild this year if we did continue to play poorly to start the season. Our core group will remain, but Maillet and Metra are on the way out with some much younger, but less skilled replacements coming in.
To me this is where the game will really begin, after nearly five years of playing. I think that there will be a lot of balance in the CPL now, and it should be alot more fun with less certaintly about who will win the championship.
I am very happy that my core group was able to be a bit of a powerhouse, now I have to see if I can build a team that continues to produce some home grown quality at all positions over the long term. The new core will be built around Follmer, Sean and Ellison, but there are some more quality youths coming to me over the next two seasons or so :)
Nolan Garon, Age:20, Skill level: incredible, Formation: outfield, weeks: 3, Est. age: 20
could be the final piece of the back line, seems to have good pace and defending and weak tech like my other trainees at that position
Nic Pesznecker, Age:17, Skill level: very good, Formation: outfield, weeks: 4, Est. age: 17
another defender it seems, but will be a pretty talented early 17yo, hoping he makes it to formidable :)
Raul Millard, Age:17, Skill level: excellent, Formation: outfield, weeks: 6, Est. age: 17
seems to be a bit of a striker, but another sweet 17 yo :)
Jamie Bourassa, Age:17, Skill level: excellent, Formation: outfield, weeks: 11, Est. age: 17
a late 17, but has a lot of talent, projects to come out outstanding - incredible, which would make him the highest level 17 year old I have ever gotten
Chet Adriano, Age:19, Skill level: outstanding, Formation: outfield, weeks: 12, Est. age: 19
talent has been tough to grade other than that it is really good, will be a late 19, but could also be a magical youth!
Jean-Pascal Beckmann, Age:17, Skill level: excellent, Formation: outfield, weeks: 18, Est. age: 18
a clear 3.something talent, another great youth, but they just kept coming :)
Jozef Chouinard, Age:17, Skill level: very good, Formation: outfield, weeks: 24, Est. age: 18
and another
Mansor Stalteri, Age:16, Skill level: good, Formation: outfield, weeks: 27, Est. age: 17
and finally, the most exciting of the bunch, haven't gotten a good read on his talent yet, but he will be an late 17yo who could make it all the way to unearthly if I get lucky with his talent, hard to tell yet, but he came in as an average 32, crossing my fingers for a phenom :)
