Subject: New Season Predictions and Hopes

2010-12-13 20:00:53
Partizan is off to a rather dull start to the year with an early ejection from the VC, and now a devestating loss due to playing the wrong lineup! The fans are displeased, furious actually.

Oh well, I had my eyes on a bit of a rebuild this year if we did continue to play poorly to start the season. Our core group will remain, but Maillet and Metra are on the way out with some much younger, but less skilled replacements coming in.

To me this is where the game will really begin, after nearly five years of playing. I think that there will be a lot of balance in the CPL now, and it should be alot more fun with less certaintly about who will win the championship.

I am very happy that my core group was able to be a bit of a powerhouse, now I have to see if I can build a team that continues to produce some home grown quality at all positions over the long term. The new core will be built around Follmer, Sean and Ellison, but there are some more quality youths coming to me over the next two seasons or so :)

Nolan Garon, Age:20, Skill level: incredible, Formation: outfield, weeks: 3, Est. age: 20

could be the final piece of the back line, seems to have good pace and defending and weak tech like my other trainees at that position

Nic Pesznecker, Age:17, Skill level: very good, Formation: outfield, weeks: 4, Est. age: 17

another defender it seems, but will be a pretty talented early 17yo, hoping he makes it to formidable :)

Raul Millard, Age:17, Skill level: excellent, Formation: outfield, weeks: 6, Est. age: 17

seems to be a bit of a striker, but another sweet 17 yo :)

Jamie Bourassa, Age:17, Skill level: excellent, Formation: outfield, weeks: 11, Est. age: 17

a late 17, but has a lot of talent, projects to come out outstanding - incredible, which would make him the highest level 17 year old I have ever gotten

Chet Adriano, Age:19, Skill level: outstanding, Formation: outfield, weeks: 12, Est. age: 19

talent has been tough to grade other than that it is really good, will be a late 19, but could also be a magical youth!

Jean-Pascal Beckmann, Age:17, Skill level: excellent, Formation: outfield, weeks: 18, Est. age: 18

a clear 3.something talent, another great youth, but they just kept coming :)

Jozef Chouinard, Age:17, Skill level: very good, Formation: outfield, weeks: 24, Est. age: 18

and another

Mansor Stalteri, Age:16, Skill level: good, Formation: outfield, weeks: 27, Est. age: 17

and finally, the most exciting of the bunch, haven't gotten a good read on his talent yet, but he will be an late 17yo who could make it all the way to unearthly if I get lucky with his talent, hard to tell yet, but he came in as an average 32, crossing my fingers for a phenom :)

Yeah, you kinda blew your Sunday game with that B squad. It looks like you have a lot of talent in the pipeline.

Well, today was my first match where i got a match rating over 40, but the game really annoyed me. I lost 3-0 which was fine, because I got dominated, but it's really annoying to see your goalie save shots where the other team definately should have scored or see them hit the crossbar with half the net open and then have all 3 goals scored against you be stupid goals from halfway in between the box and half....that always happens in my matches and I'd rather they scored on the good chances than the stupid goals from bad shots from way out

damn, another high potential youth, this is getting kind of crazy!

Duke Jordan, Age:16, Skill level: good, Formation: outfield, weeks: 33, Est. age: 18

I can't believe that I am having a hard time selling Metra and Maillet... second listing, reasonable, even cheap lisitings, no takers... kind of frustrating actually!

hopefully I get enough for them to get at least one quality young winger... jeez

Just one game past the midway mark, the Rainbow Sniffers have already reached their preseason goal of 12 points and sit in 4th place in div. II.01. The Sniffers have also not yet given up on their goal of losing no games by more than 3 goals, with two 3-0 losses being the worst they have suffered thus far. To avoid a relegation match, The Sniffers must defeat T syndicated, Olympiques Blanc and the Missisauga Messchershmitts (that's spelt wrong :P) and hope that syndicated doesn't beat any of the top teams so that the Sniffers' +10 goal difference stands out.

Vandali 3:2 Rainbow Sniffers

Almost squeaked out a tie there...my opponents third goal was dumb (slow pass that went in because my goalie is slow) but my second goal was so ridiculously lucky that it doesn't bother me lol (his striker dodged a few tackles, went up to the 6, fired it off the post, then one of my defenders got the ball and kicked it upfield and i got a breakaway and scored :P). Next week sees the Sniffers face the league leaders, and then the week after that they face T syndicated in their most important match of the season.

My season expectations were for a top half performance. But, as the season has progressed with good fortune, few injuries and few cards my expectations have risen. A week ago I thought that it looked pretty good to win the Premier League and I spent my savings to upgrade my striker with visions of playing Champions League sokker. Now, still tied for first place, but with diminished confidence after some poor results, I still have hope. Three league games remain and Partizan and I play Valiant, HL Football and each other, the same teams.
My hope lies with Rico Perez, my new striker. He is superdivine, we'll see what that is worth.

If he's worth half of what you payed for him he should average 3 goals a game from now on :P

The Rainbow Sniffers also made a big aquisition in defender Jens Klar, the first member of the club with a value over 1 000 000 C$. Klar solidified the defence last sunday and helped the Sniffers to a 3-1 win in an important match.

You have certainly had no trouble fitting in to division ii sokker this season. A couple more seasons and youll be challenging near the top.

this sunday i will play for the first place in my league! :)

but i have my strikers with low form! :S

If he's worth half of what you payed for him he should average 3 goals a game from now on

hehe i was right...even if he doesn't score any more goals he'll average over 3 goals per game for the rest of the season :P Nice win against Valiant
2011-02-07 03:58:00
Thanks. 10 goals on 16 shots, not too shabby.
2011-02-09 03:23:44
yeah. My excellent striker went 4 for 5 in excellent form :P To be fair though, he was shooting on an 18yo
2011-02-14 05:03:16
ugh...pathetic shooting from my strikers today, 5 goals on 36 shots. One of them went 0 for 13. Plus, one of my two main strikers got a red card. On the bright side, I managed to play 3 of my 16 year olds :)
