It's very late in the day, but I wasn't interested in running anywhere at first. To be brutally honest, I only considered running because of Deathbymail's call for an experienced NT coach. I have been in charge of the Dutch NT for 4 seasons or so, and been a scout and tactical advisor for several years before that. So, I think I might just about qualify. I know the job.
Tactics are my main passion. If you expect fancy reports before and after games and things like that, don't vote for me. My reports are strictly text only. I won't promise anything except for one thing: I'll give it my best and then some. I strongly believe in the primacy of the NT. If you've got a good player, you can expect him to play. Even if that would be contrary to your best interests. Friendly games are the exception to this rule. I like to talk shop, but preferably not out in the open prior to a game. Anyone who'd like to be involved in any way, is more than welcome.
Most of you will most likely haven't got the faintest clue who I am. I would like to remedy that. I am a 26 year old male, who studies history on the Dutch university of Groningen. More or less engaged with a woman who recently finished her degree in medicine. My cat got killed in a car accident, so it's just her and me. Family of mine reputedly lives in Canada, but I just can't seem to remember where exactly. To my shame, this more or less describes my knowledge about Canada. For those of you who prefer French: I read it, but do not expect me to type it. I'm terribly sorry, but Dutch education is in a sorry state. Foreign languages are taught, but you do not learn to actually speak them properly. You learn to read them. Very practical, and it saves money. I'm currently a bit handicapped with one arm in a sling which is supposed to immobolise my shoulder. Unfortunately it does a good job and worse, it's my right arm. As a consequence, typing goes rather slow.

lol that's ironic...your first match as NT coach (at least after they started showing who was coach) was against Canada.
Good luck :)
Good luck :)
I believe this was my first match: /comment.php?matchID=9950868
Edit: it's 03.00 over here, I'm off to bed. I've got an exam tomorrow, followed by something akin to a job interview on a school where I'm to learn how to teach. I'll try to answer any and all questioms tomorrow morning, but it might take till the end of the afternoon, Dutch time (=SK time).

As nobody seems to be much interested in asking questions, allow me to ask a question. Say I do get the job, however unlikely that may seem. Would you prefer Ux friendlies? Any favourite opponents? Would you like to play against the Dutch NT?
Dutch NT?:) It's my fauvorite NT in real football :> ORANJE !:))))
:D
:D
yeah, don't expect a lot of questions, we have become a pretty quiet community the last few seasons :)
I would prefer U-XX friendlies, as we really need to be making sure to develop the next generation of players and sadly there doesn't seem to be many top end talents out there for us beyond Lemieux and Leopold
Of course we would want to play the Dutch
And don't be surprised if you are elected, we were all pretty much just waiting for someone with some experience to apply!
