Dear all. I'm Mario 36yrs old from Malta. I decided to apply for your NT cause lately it has been doing bad and after a very poor season I believe I can do a good job with the experience I have, especially since there is no time for error this season since there are the WCQ matches.

I am a very committed person and spend a lot of time on the game. After a one season break for NT I am looking for a new challenge and Canada is very motivating for me since when I took Malta NT it was in the same situation. If you check Malta NT U21 and senior NT history, National team results and Maltese forum you will find the proof of my results and my commitment towards a national team.

My History in sokker:

- started in 2007 currently playing in the Malta Premier Division (finished 4th last season)

- Spent 2 years as Nt scout and Database coordinator

- Spent 3 seasons as U21 Malta NT coach reaching the 3 place in the WCQ group. Which was the first and last time reached by Malta until this season

- Spent 7 seasons as Malta Senior NT coach. Taking Malta from Rank 67 to rank 47 eventually leaving Malta at rank 50. Played various times the WCQ groups so I believe that my experience in this will help as well considering that next season we have WCQ matches without any previous planning from the last season as you all know. Moreover Malta achieved some good results against teams that we used to get trashed 12-0 against.

As tactics at the moment I enjoy the winger for a reason that current match engine is making attackers scoring a lot from crosses and much less 1 vs 1 , some of them losing incredible chances. I believe that there is material in Canada to play with such system and if im elected I will build on that system.

I don't have anything more to add. I do know that it will be difficult for me to get elected but I decided to put my candidature still and from the first day so that you will understand that I am very serious in this. If I want I can contest Malta NT again and I will have a good percentage of winning the elections but I am really looking forward for this adventure and a new challenge. One season without NT for me was very annoying so you can understand how enthusiastic I am to try to work with your community.

Malta for a while passed through such change and from my experience in that I know perfectly what am I going to find if I take the job. I have no magic wand so I am not going to promise unreachable targets.

My first aim after commitment would be that of improving our ranking. 7-8 paces are not impossible to achieve...I am not telling you I will get Canada in the first 10 in the first season but my target this season would be at least reaching the around 40th place mark which would be a great result.

You're a little wrong. It was true before the match engine was changed. Now i think that better is to do a stronger center field, but it is only my opinion.

Yes, I confirm. Now the Winger is not so good, because 3/4 of headers won't be a problem for the goalkeeper.

Tactics depends a lot on what players you have and what you are most comfortable with. However, last season there were a lot of issues with 1 vs 1....strikers losing a lot of chances some of them impossible to lose. Mainly the main thing about such tactic is to play 5 defenders flat whilst putting 2 strong mids in front of them that 1) they have strong def and 2) high tech and high passing.

High tech and passing for the winger and tall strikers. I prefer strikers with high defense as well.

My last games with the NT, and during all my last season and the end of the previous season, it was very good for me and after switching from a 4-4-2 diamond to 5-2-1-2 I saw a lot of improvement. I used to prefer the 4-4-2 since I used to build my tactic to get through passes that cut out the def, but again lately I noticed that 1 vs 1 chance of scoring is getting low.

That does not mean that my mode of play cannot adjust according to the needs or that the 5-2-1-2 is unbeatable cause it is all about player form, good tactics and choosing the right players for such tactics.

When playing against very strong teams I sometimes also play 5-3-1-1 i.e with a strong mids one of them in front of def supporting the def more and a single striker.

However my mentality is.....I prefer to lose 4-2 than 1-0 so I don't like to renounce playing with 2 strikers.

Im sorry but my comment was not unfair at all. I posted IN MY OWN post and I did not mention ANY NAMES. I pointed out that I will not promise things I cannot reach like others are doing. Politicians use other peoples points to discuss and challenge them, that does not mean it is foul play. I did not comment in other candidate posts but on my own.

there isn't anywhere written that you cant discuss other peoples proposal and say why they are wrong and why they are not reachable. I am sorry but I am going to report this issue to the admins , since nothing was unfair and nothing was against the rules.
